Raasta Cafe & Bakery is ideally located between Laxman & Ramjhula in a traquil enclave on a hill, walking or a short auto rickshaw distance from the Ganga. The staff are wonderful making your stay cosy and fun. The restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisine from Indian, Israeli, Italian, Nepalese to continental, and from different types of breakfasts, lunch, evening tea, dinner. The atmosphere is lovely. Above Raasta Cafe and Bakery is Highlander cottage, where the rooms are quiet, clean with an attached bathroom with hot water for a competitive price. You can relax in the veranda just outside your room. At the restaurant, there is wireless internet and the enclave itself has everything you need from an internet cafe, travel agency, hire of a scooter, ayurvedic centres and even a stroll in a nearby park after a meal. The manager and staff have years of experience to help you have a great time and a yummy meal!

The food at this restaurant was excellent. I ate pretty much every meal I had in Rishikesh here. The staff is amazing as well. They are super nice and make you feel at home. My friends and I had no place to stay while in Rishikesh because everything was booked up for the yoga festival, and the staff even allowed us to sleep in their lounge room when they closed at night so we wouldn't be on the streets. I would definitely come back.

Last time I was in rishikesh, though I stayed in bhandari cottage, this was the place I was having most of my food. I will say that Raasta is one of the best restaurants in town! Akesh and Amir will make you feel at home and very comfortable! The food is consistently good- I would just ask Akesh for recommendations on the dishes.

Slightly on the higher side when it comes to the pricing but then i guess its more about the feel of being there and chatting with them.

Each table has a detailed map of a state of India; if you are lucky, you could plan right there. They are a fan of their pizzas and once you have it, you would too. Though not exactly "Italian" in taste, its nice to have.

The momos have the Indian touch and is absolutely brilliant.
The chicken steak was okay. Would've wanted some more choices in the sauces used.
The crumb fried chicken was a let down as the quantity was disturbingly minimal.

The service is amazing. You can get the rice replaced with french fries or mashed potatoes as well.

The down side would be that the spices are way below "bland". If they could spice up a little it would've been the best dinners all time :)
