Its a unforgettable experience for me and for my family. In sattva we had spended a beautifull time overthere. The room qwality of the sattva is extremely best. And they have excellent meditating and ayurveda message therapies . Apart from that they have provided us excellent food . They have only vegetarian food. And some lines for the chef is he cooks excellent food that's. Feels finger lickin good . They are having well trained yoga teacher and wellness experts for wellness treatment . In my opinion sattva spa and wellness retreat is spiritual place
. And its a place for meditating and relaxation I think those who are looking for a peace and relaxation with a excellent view U should spend some beautifull moments with them

. Sattva is heavan in the heart of the Himalayas

Sattva is a pretty little resort surrounded by hills on all sides with a little stream flowing by the side. It has a tiny swimming pool and a nice green sit-out area, where one can start up a bonfire in the evenings. Their attempt is to be a serene, eco-friendly, yoga-sort-of-resort and they even manage to attract a few foreign tourists this way, but I found this part to be more of a marketing/positioning attempt than actual reality. Nevertheless, you are assured of having a relaxed stay (how can that not happen with such a straight-out-of-a-portrait setting?)

Getting to Sattva is not easy. It is really really far away from the main Rishikesh town (almost a 45-min drive from Laxman Jhula). If you do not have a car with you, they offer a pick-up from Laxman Jhula for Rs. 600. If you are looking for a quick, action-packed holiday with easy access to the main parts of Rishikesh or the neighbouring towns, then this is not the place for you.

The rooms are spacious, well lit and sparkling clean. They have a powerful multi-purpose air conditioner which can both cool and heat very effectively (quite a relief given that we went at the coldest time of the year - December). The bathrooms are large and very clean and have hot water (shower too) through the day.

The food was very good. Breakfast is complimentary, but has a very limited selection - porridge, pancakes, toast and tea/coffee. Egg preparations are chargeable. Ask for banana pancakes with Nutella - they were simply fab! We had a really delicious dinner one evening as well. Mostly Indian stuff (dal, roti, subzi, rice) - would recommend the egg bhurji (yum!).

No amount of praise would be enough to describe the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were just excellent! Let me say that again. They were just excellent! Every single one of them went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Very hard to find such service levels in India. A few examples to highlight my point better.
1. We had confirmed 3 rooms to them over the phone and expressed doubts over whether we might need a fourth. Upon arriving at Sattva, we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had allocated 4 adjacent rooms for us of their own accord (we ended up taking only 3).
2. We had expressed concern over the room rent. They brought it down from Rs. 4,500 to Rs. 4,000 without much fuss. They asked us to transfer whatever amount we felt was appropriate as advance for the room booking!
3. The eco-friendliness of the resort ;) did not allow them to serve certain items, but they were more than willing to accommodate them, if we brought them on our own
4. They were ready to cook dishes as per our requirement even at extremely odd hours
5. They helped us plan our itinerary and gave us excellent recommendations on smart ways to reach places

Overall, an enjoyable stay, made memorable by the staff. There's also a bungee-jumping spot less than a kilometre away. Would recommend Sattva if you are looking for a quiet, scenic stay far away from the city.

The Sattva Center is truly a Retreat, a place to connect, transform and grow. The staff at the Center are so attentive, the food is amazing and the Center is located in a beautiful space, the accommodations are comfortable, clean and well appointed. And what can I say about Anand, whose inspiration, passion and vision makes being Sattva a truly transformational experience.

We arrived in Rishikesh at 2:00, but our (speedy) driver didn't get to the hotel until 3:30 due to the remote location. At that point, being conscientious, he was disappointed that there was no room for drivers, and no nearby options for him to stay (so as to be on call).

He returned the first day to drive us into town, but as there was no parking available on that side of the Ganges, he again drove us the 29 km. to the bridge and parked on the other side of the river, taking about 80 minutes. We then walked across the footbridge and strolled around town, with its assortment of ashrams, sadhus, and tourists.

The next day, intimidated by the twisty drive, we wised up and stayed at the Sattva. It sits in the Ganges valley in a nice spot, with sparkling light. It is very attractive and the staff are kind. We took very nice massages at about $40 each, enjoyed the food, which was delicious. We never figured out the yoga schedule: schedules, menus, etc. are not really the style of the Sattva. Our upgraded room was very pleasant, with nice marble and granite work, and the internet worked well. Sitting outside by the pool with a meal was a treat also.

The hotel or spa appears to be new, with some elements still evolving. If you are looking for a wellness retreat in a beautiful setting, far from the hustle-bustle of old Rishikesh, this is a good choice.

The Sattva Center is a place for growth and introspection. The rooms are thoughtfully beautiful and make you feel welcome as does the staff. You quickly forget that you have a life anywhere else! That's the idea!

Anand's wisdom is so "common sense" that I found myself giggling at the joy his simple yet elegant presentation instilled in me.

I can't wait to return!

The Sattva is a haven of peace and tranquility. Set in a valley in the foothills of the Himalayas, one can truly connect with Nature and Self. One wakes up to a flowing river, the singing of birds and home cooked food to satisfy any palate. Beautiful luxurious rooms complement the lush gardens, swimming pool and spa. Yoga is offered in two magnificent studios over looking the river. Close by are ancient temples, caves and hiking trails where sages have walked and taught for millennia. The Sattva truly provides a luxurious space in which to find silence and peace, within and without.
