“excellent with marine drive walk”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is most exciting place for people living in Rishikesh and outsiders too. With its path for walk named as Aastha Path it gives you a scenic and silent atmosphere where walking you can feel a different feeling away from the world. Party animals must not like it but all others will always praise it.

“Worth taking a stroll in the evening”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

Triveni Ghat is a nice place to take a stroll in the evening and witness its famous ganga aarti. Though not very clean and with lots of beggars around yet it is a pleasant experience especially the river front and 6 km long marine drive walkway. Prachin Shani dev temple and the main market near the triveni ghat are worth exploring.

“Intersting place with local feel”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

An interesting place mostly not by it's architecture but by what's happening there: local people sitting in the shadow of holy banyan trees, lots of sadu's, people bathing in Gangas, women washing their sari... If you like it - it's a place to visit.

“Nice river view”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

Rishikesh has many temples to visit. But I liked river Ganga view the most. Its fast and has nice views to grab. Triveni ghat has also some nice views in store. After getting out from rickshaw, you have to travel little for river view. Some more temples are also nearby but walking is must. I liked Lord Shiva's statue showcasing river Ganga getting out from his hairs typically known as "Ganga avataran". The background is just scenic. Another statue of Lord Krishna giving message of Geeta to Arjun is excellent. We viewed at evening time hence it was looking very nice and giving us peace of mind remembering Lord Krishna and his Geeta. We observed many saints and sadhus sitting there peacefully. Local people tell that river Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet here. Instead of challenging it, I liked the sacredness behind it. I must admire that in Rishikesh nobody chases you for any cause; neither rickshaw, beggars, priests, nobody. I felt quite peaceful here.
