“The best camp site for rafting and in house activities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2012

I had been to Camp Ganga Riviera twice in the last three years and I can say undoubtedly that this is the best camp site available in Rishikesh for rafting and other in house activities. The ambience is awesome and the warmth & love these people have is unmatched. There is a beautiful waterfall located just a few steps from the camp site and the place is no less than heaven on earth.

I spent a week with my family with these people. I must say one of the best holidays I have had. We were so connected with nature that it was totally amazing. We heard sounds of nature that we had never heard before. I strongly recommend this holiday to everyone to feel connected with nature. Thanks guys. A special mention to the staff. They make you feel at home.

I stayed in Camp Ganga Riviera (also known as Adventure Trails India) twice in the last 6 months once during the first music festival in India called WOODS TALK FESTIVAL as a musician and second time with Family and Freinds on vacation and undoubtedly this is the best property for camping and rafting around Rishikesh. The best part of the camp is that it is located at a secluded beach across the Ganga river and one has to trek down about 2km from the main Road, cross a bridge and then reach the camp. The camp has their own personal white sand beach which is very well maintained and great for swimming, playing beach volley, cliff jumping and more. The access to the water fall is about another 1 km walk through river streams and rocky path which makes the journey to waterfall so interesting. The waterfall is the biggest in the region and well maintained and clean.
Talking about the camp, the tents are basic but neat and clean and the toilets are permanent with flush and water which is difficult to find in most of the camps in that area. They do not provide any toiletries and towels etc so don't expect, after all it's camping not luxury. There is no electricity yet but the have some solar lanterns to keep the area well lit and also have traditional kerosene lantern everywhere.
The food is excellent like home cook non-spicy Indian food served hot and hygienic.
The staff is always ready to serve you whatever you need and always with smile.
About rafting, they have the best staff who take their guests for rafting. These guys are well trained and ready to take you to any extent if you are willing and fit to do those stunts. The rafting staff are VERY STRICT(not rude) and that's for everyone's safety. They made us do the Wall, THREE BLIND MICE, BODY SURFING and many more.
About the owners Anil and Pooja, they are very friendly and present there along-with their cute little over friendly, highly skilled and good looking pet Labrador - SIMBA.
I would always like to go back to Camp Ganga Riviera whenever I plan to visit the place again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the beach which has the best view of the sand and river both.

My first visit to the ATI camp was almost 5 yrs ago. Having stayed at almost all the camps at the river bank, I can still say that ATI is the best of 'em all.
The camp is extremely spacious, the staff is super cool and the activities that can be done on the camp are uncomparable.
Campsite over the yrs has only changed to become more beautiful. The pathways are more defined, there are flushed loos, some cemented shades for food areas. But it still hold up on the wilderness and calmness. Since it's ahead of most commercial camps, the number of rafts going by or the number of people around is lesser and hence the natural beauty is more intact.
The staff add to the memories, they are like genie's fullfilling almost everywish on you command ( they are still only mortals and some wishes should be served self!)
Camp activities are rock climbing, rappling, cliff jumping ( much much better than the commercial point!) kayaking, and the nicest waterfall around the camp.
The camp will give you the best of a rafting times but it's also a place for just peace and nature.

I went to ATI camp for a few days hoping to relax, unwind and refresh myself in nature, with maybe a little sporty excitement thrown in for good measure...and that is exactly what happened.

We stayed in clean canvas tents next to the river, and enjoyed camp fires and laughter by at night, and swimming and rafting during the day. On the last day, when we rafted down river, we passed lots of other raft camps, and I can't help thinking that we got the best deal! Compared to some of the other raft camps this one is much more established because in that it has clean permanent stone buildings, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. When I spoke to the owner about her garden, it became clear that she is quite passionate about it.

I was recovering from a stomach bug, so I didn't take advantage of any of the more adventurous offers like trekking and climbing...but if I go back, and I hope to one day, then I will definitely do so!.

The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and the service was great. The food was frankly amazing...some of the best we had in India.

The highlight of the trip was an amazing raft trip which allowed us to see the pristine white sand beaches and gorgeous nature of the area. We saw monkeys and languors and we were even lucky enough to see deer!

I can't recommend this camp enough.

Room Tip: All of the tents are right next to The Ganga. there isn't a bad one!

Tucked away in the forest, next to the river beach, this camp is an excellent place to get away from the city once in a while. Starting from the nice hike down to the camp, crossing a slightly nervous bridge to the facilities and serenity at the camp, this vacation was perfect!

The location of the camp is excellent, away from the crazy madness of Rishikesh and the camp itself is very well maintained, with a large kitchen/dining area, lots of open spaces, a waterfall, beaches, loos (a big thumbs up especially when camping) and clean tents. There is no electricity at the camp (you do get network connectivity though) and that just adds to the overall appeal of the place. Food at the camp was homely, in a good way, but you dont visit this place for the food anyway.

There are a bunch of activities that you can do here and there are professionals at hand to guide you. The guides/coaches for rafting are well trained and adept at their jobs. The rest of the staff too is polite & friendly and eager to help out patrons.

Guests visiting the camp need to make arrangements for their trips back to the camp, once done with rafting. However, the staff will help you make those arrangements or one can always take the bus back to the camp from either Lakshman Jhula or Shivpuri.

The location alone is a good reason to visit this place, made better by the friendliness of the owners and the staff.
