We stayed for one night. The location is great for an overnight stop between Merzouga and Fes. The Riad is not difficult to find - the are many signs along Midelt's main road showing the direction to the riad. We walked into the centre of town, which is about a 15 minute walk.

The staff are extremely welcoming. When we arrived we were served mint tea and fresh baked cookies. The riad smells delicious. The staff seems to constantly be cooking and baking.

We ate dinner at the riad. The meal included appetizers and desert, and was a very fair price. During our two week stay in Morocco this was by far the best meal we had. The same can be said for the breakfast.

The "communal" rooms where the meals are served are absolutely beautiful. I was entranced by the intricate details on the ceiling. Pictures do not do it justice.

The guest rooms are nice and cozy, but not spectacular. The bathroom is spacious and clean.

I recommend this riad and would not hesitate to stay again.

While not built as a true riad, we were greeted with tea in the living room on arrival. After being shown to our room to settle in, we were escorted to le jardin at the rear. There we joined other guests in the garden with spaces sectioned by flowers and trees. We were offered tea, soft drink, wine and/or beer. A welcome respite after a long drive. The candlelight dinner was lovely and we enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire afterwards. Thanks to Hassam for taking our photo. Our room had a scenic view of the town - and mosque - yet we were not disturbed by the call to prayer. If ever back to Midelt would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in September 2013. Midelt itself is a pretty enough town, but little to see - best for walks outside. The riad is located in a street away from the centre of Midelt (though not quiet overnight – dogs, cockerels and call to prayers). Lovely comfortable room. Very good food served in the downstairs restaurant.

We chose to stay here as previously mentioned it is one of the only places to stay in midelt, we were also attracted by the many signs that lay about town, it was also mention in our rough guides book and quoted at 500 dirhams for a room we didn't realise this till later that evening once we had already been charged a hefty 800 dirhams even though a couple staying next door had only paid 500....
We had travelled from the todra gorge and been in the car a very long and weary 8-10 hours, upon arrival we explained this to the owner Hassam, who at first appeared very friendly.... we checked in and explained we were vegetarian, this was fine and we were told we could have anything we wanted. which turned out to be a veggie tajine and no other option was available
we dropped our bags in the fairly nice room then went to head into town to visit the October apple festival, as we were leaving the hotel the owner explained he had to pick something up in town and could he have a lift.... of course this isn't a problem we said.... however, upon arrival into town we were forced into a rug shop and spent the best part of an hour being pestered into buying 'super duper genuine authentic very good berber rug' at the very modest cost of 1200 dirhams.... after an unhealthy amount if mint tea we finally managed to hammer the point home we did not want a rug or a scarf, or a necklace or anything.... the shop owner left to 'find the hotel owner hassam' who had been sat in the next room the whole time and never went to pick anything up from town at all.... when he came back in we were far too tired to go to the festival so simply went back to the hotel... on arrival Hassam thought it very appropriate to ask for several of our cigarettes... he then charged us 30 dihrams each for a beer....
our evening was completely ruined as was our stay in midelt, which appeared a rather nice place....

as a young couple on a very tight budget and short amount of time in morocco we felt our stay here was a very large waste of time and money. we tried to show Hassam the price in the rough guide book the next day but he was not interested and showed us a receipt he had clearly forged saying that 2 Moroccans had paid 1000 dirhams for a night previously. he was also very short and uninterested in us once we had refused to purchase any rugs....
very disappointing stay

We stopped here on our way from Merzouga to Fes. We were tired and didn't do much in the area, however we had a very nice diner in Riad Villa Midelt and were very happy with our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and nice. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again any time. I doubt that there's a better accomodation in Midelt.

Nice Riad, with friendly and professional staff. Good restaurant with nice well cooked food. as we were driving with our own car, they let us park inside the riad yard. Very nice place to stay when going from south to the north.
