We visited the caverns on 6/3/14 while touring Natural Bridge. Our family loves caverns and have been to many. While it was not as extensive as some of the other Caverns in the area (who can beat Luray?) we did enjoy the tour. Purchased with the Natural Bridge pass made it worth the cost.

The tour was kinda short and our tour guide was a little...I don't know the word. I have a feeling that we would have had a better experience w/ a different guide.

Very nice place to go see. Probably not the most intense of tours and the guide did not know as much as he could have. It was cold that deep, you need long sleeves. Kinda tight quarters in a few places. I learned a few things and was sad to leave so quickly. No bathrooms on site at the time!

Decided to visit this after passing the billboard so many times on I-81. The caverns did not disappoint at all. Like the website says, its a cool 54 degrees in the caverns so a jacket and pants are recommended. I wore both and it was a wise choice. The tour itself took about an hour, starting with the long descent to the caverns. There are some small areas at the beginning with some really cool formations, with the big open areas coming in the middle and end of the tour. The guide that we had was very knowledgeable about the caverns. Overall well worth it.

Enjoyed the trip down into the caverns. Some steep climbs, but worth the effort. Be prepared for some slippy underfoot conditions particularly if it has been and is raining.
