Owner description: The Natural Bridge Zoo Park is and always has been privately owned and has never accepted any sort of federal, state, or local funding. The Natural Bridge Zoo opened its doors to the general public in 1972 and has been growing ever since. The main purpose for Natural Bridge Zoo has always been the propagation and rearing of threatened or endangered species. We try to offer students and the general public the opportunity to learn about the living animals, birds, and reptiles that share the earth with us. Many children have little or no contact with natural living things in their daily lives. While television programs are educational, there is nothing like standing next to a giraffe, getting nuzzled by a llama, hugging a baby dromedary camel, or gazing into the eyes of a huge white tiger to make you feel and appreciate our wonderful world of animals.

“Very rude employees!”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

I visited the zoo with my child and the school group. All of the employees were very rude to the children, staff, parents, and grandparents!!! They acted very unprofessional and I would not recommend this attraction at all!

“Nice day visit”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

The zoo is kinda small but nice. It is nothing compared to some of the bigger zoo's but still very nice for the area. It's worth the small fee that you have to pay to enter and little ones (1 and 2 year old) are free!! That's always a plus!! They also have an elephant ride and that's nice! If you are looking for something to do this is worth it!! I was kinda disappointed in some of the cages not being as clean as I would have liked to see but maybe it was just a bad day. Still worth the money.

“Interesting”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

If you find your self near this zoo and you have the money to go inside I would think twice. I am not saying not to go but it's defiantly something only to do if you have the money to waste. There are animals to see we saw bears, monkeys (they look kinda weird) and an elephant (he looked REAL old.) So they do have them but wow!!!! If you are looking for something to entertain the kids for a bit sure take them here. But if you visit DC'a zoo or another zoo of that magnitude don't even go here you will not be happy.

“Nice small zoo”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

A great small zoo. A nice selection of different animals. Some animal cages are smaller, while others cages seem to big for that animal. But, I'm sure there is a reason for that. I'd suggest to bring your own snacks for the animals - granola, oats, etc. We have pictures on the wall from this trip;-)
