“Best wine in the valley”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

My husband and I live locally an were amazed to have such a great experience at Cave Ridge. The signage was helpful to us and when we arrived it was like they were so excited to see us. They were fairly busy but I'm sure they greated every person walking in. We got to talk to the winemaker, very down to earth and what a passion he has. He answers all our premature questions and told us about his upcoming expansion! We will always come back! Highly recommend the cheese plate, great value for $15

“Quality wines, beautiful location”
Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I have been frequent visitors to this hidden gem since it's early days. The wines are superb and made on site from only the grapes they grow which makes it stand apart from many other vineyards. The owner Randy, who also is the winemaker has a true passion for wine and it is evident through the quality of his product. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in addition to accomodating of large groups. The grounds are well maintained and offer a courtyard, multiple patios and a great room with a large wood burning fireplace. A definite must visit!

“Not Tuscany”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

We decided to visit several wineries in the area. Although the Cave Ridge was better than some of the awful ones we went to, it was not Tuscany.

The main building was nice, but the staff was not well trained, the owner, being introduced to us by the staff, all but ignored us and the "prize winning" wines only won prizes in Virginia. The Reserve wines were nothing special and the grounds were very small. It takes about 20 minutes to see it all. You might want to skip this.
