I have been here many times over the years, and it has been hit or miss....but last night it was definitely a hit. Our waitress Katie was very attentive and knowledgeable with good recommendations. The food is a bit pricey, but you're paying for the location and view of the reservoir. We were lucky enough to have received one of their "bad weather 50% off good for one day only emails" so we decided to try some new items on the menu. It's a smart move on management's part to send these out to the locals to bring in business on snowy nights when business would otherwise be scarce. The place was packed by the time we finished our dinner. We had the mussels for an app which were amazing, especially with fresh bread on the side to dip in the broth the mussels were steamed in. The cauliflower soup special was very good as well. I ordered the crab cakes which were good...no fillers whatsoever...but there were a couple shells which is a bit annoying but usually unavoidable. My boyfriend had the flank steak cooked rare, and it was perfectly cooked with an amazing chimichurri sauce. The brussel sprouts and potatoes au gratin were also really good. All in all, I would return for a nice dinner regularly based on the visit yesterday. I would recommend trying this place if you haven't yet, especially in the warmer months when you can dine on their beautiful patio right on the water.

My family used to love going to the Boathouse (when it was named Sunday Park) during good weather and special occasions, as its location right on the lake and a reasonably priced Sunday brunch and dinners all the time. At some point a few years ago when they changed the name, the owners have appeared to want to get fancier, and more expensive, and there is now a more limited menu for brunch. We have stopped going there as often.

We had a good table with a great view. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated
and welcoming.
We went to a Sunday brunch. We liked all the choices we ordered. Food was well prepared
and delicious. They also have imaginative drinks. We will go back if given the chance.

The lakeside edition of the boathouse is my favorite of the two. The view is great, especially in nice weather when the deck is the place to be. Service is attentive and professional. Most of the inside of the restaurant is very attractive. There is a section upstairs that is visually unattractive. I'm not sure of the official name for that section, so it is difficult to say how to ask to NOT be seated in it. "The crummy section upstairs" will probably convey the message.

This is one of our favorites. We go here for birthdays. We go here for anniversaries. We go here because the weather is nice and we want to sit out on the deck by the water. Friendly staff, good food, great atmosphere. Love the mussels -- delicious. Tend to stay away from the steak (although the last couple my daughter's had have been excellent). Pizzookie is to die for (a half-baked pizza cookie smothered in whip cream and vanilla ice cream). Salads are fantastic, especially the wedge. Pizza is decent. Go for the atmosphere, enjoy the food and ask the locals what to eat off the menu.
