I'd booked this room at tasty price through a pay first and then see the hotel website, which tagged it as highly rated. When I read the most recent reviews, however, I had serious doubts about the property.

My fears were totally ungrounded. The property is recently renovated, Caitlin and Rebecca on the front desk couldn't have been more accommodating. My ground floor handicapped room was comfortable, nice flat screen tv, micro & fridge in the room were handy. Towels were plush & plentiful, carpeting was clean. Linens were lovely. The comforter top was a low-nap microfiber with a "turn down" design (i often find the footie throws annoying), trendy aqua & slate on white pattern.

Breakfast included bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, egg patties (okay, you could play frisbee with them, but fine in a muffin or biscuit), plus all the other items one usually finds in the buffet style breakfasts at LQ.

Nice lobby, computer stations, alas, were stand-up, but adequate for my printing needs (I had my laptop with me).

Nice exercise room, also several meeting rooms, so ideal for groups up to about 40 per room, I'd guess. A boardroom style table in one.

All in all, a great stay at a nice property in a good section of town. Definitely recommend it.

Thank you for chosing us! And a big thank you for the kind notes about your stay and the hotel and staff. I will certainly pass on the notes to the staff.
You never know sometimes what you are going to get in a hotel room these days but as you saw first hand - we have a great place here in Richmond, Va and we are glad the word is getting out : )

Thanks again,

Tim

Stayed at this hotel as a stay over heading to south carolina. It was 15 minutes off 95. It was a hot wire special rated 3 stars so I took it. Room was clean and cozy and fairly modern. Breakfast was decent and clean. Good hotel but more like a 2.5 star hotel if anything.

I've stayed here twice while visiting friends in the area. The rooms are large and well appointed and the bed comfortably firm. It's convenient to shopping including a Fresh Market nearby and plenty of places to eat all along Midlothian Turnpike. The lobby is warm and welcoming and the staff is both professional and friendly. As long as our friends stay in the area, this will be our home away from home.

Stayed here for one night while on business. This hotel was less expensive and is fairly new. Rooms are very comfortable, nice shower pressure and the remote control for the TV is a solid piece of electronics, not flimsy at all. Plus they have a nice fitness center that has a scale plus weights to workout with from 5 to 50lbs. Breakfast is standard as any other but the coffee is pretty decent compared to others.

If getting a good night's rest in a comfortable room is your goal, then La Quinta is the place for you. Recently renovated, the inn has great amenities from newly decorated rooms and a buffet breakfast to exercise equipment and a computer station. Nestled in a corner of Chesterfield Towne Center, the lodging has a shopping mall that is within walking distance of your room. Tim, the manager, and his staff will make your stay a pleasurable experience. But make your reservations early as this is a very popular place for guests to stay.

We were very unimpressed with this hotel. The area received 6 inches of snow and they didn't bother to plow the parking lots or clear the side walks even the day after the storm. The manager checked us in and provided little to no guidance on where our room was located, where we should walk the dogs ( since we are respectful dog owners) or when breakfast was served. The room was fairly small compared to the others we have stayed at and the new renovation did not improve the cleanliness. Overall, we will mark this hotel off of our list to stay at in the future.

Also, I didn't realize that this hotel was recently changed over to a La Quinta, which perhaps is why we experienced such a difference in service. Perhaps over time this will improve...
