“Try the soup(s).”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Great little deli in Middleburg (now doing business as Middleburg Deli).
Try the soups, as they are very good. A simple basket of fries was surprisingly good also.

“Dank's Deli is now Middleburg Deli”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Since I wrote two reviews here for Dank's, I thought I should let people know that the name has recently been changed from Dank's Deli to Middleburg Deli. Everything else is exactly the same---same owner, same food, same location. They just had to change the name for legal reasons. Also, I did speak to the owner, Pedro, the other day, and, sadly, he won't be getting bagles and lox. They just don't have the room or the manpower to add new items to their menu, and they are doing very well without it. But I did notice that the tiny cafe, Cuppa Giddyup, right down the street, now sells bagels and lox---haven't tried it yet, but fingers are crossed. ;-)

“Best sandwiches within 20 miles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

Get better rolls to really rock a food sammich, but if you are looking for a great sandwich. Danks (Middleburg deli recently) is the place.

“I like Dank's -- Who Doesn't”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

It's not four stars, but neither does it pretend to be. It's a good sandwich, nothing more, nothing less, and that's often exactly what I seek.

“Still a Good Deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

I already wrote a review for Dank's, saying it was a good place, but it occurred to me that it might be helpful to explain that it is not a deli in the New York deli sense, so if you're expecting that, you may be disappointed (as a NYer, I am always hoping to find a NY-style deli here in Virginia, and they might exist, somewhere--but so far, no luck). So, just so you know, they do not have the bagels, cream cheese, and lox I miss so much! Maybe I'll suggest it to Pedro, the owner, and see what he says. ;-) I usually get salads with their grilled chicken, avacado, cheese, red onion, maybe another veggie or two--and their house Italian dressing, and it's big and really delicious, for about $9.00--it does not have iceberg lettuce (which is a good thing) and it really will fill you up. If you remove it from their takeout container, you will see, it is bigger than it looks--it will fill a pretty large bowl. ;-) They do have liverwurst and rye bread, which is nice when I'm remembering my German roots. ;-) Every day you can get guacamole, as well as chili, tacos, beans, and a homemade soup of the day. Lots of sandwhiches and subs to choose from. Dank's is a small, clean, pleasant place with a cute country ambiance. Everyone there seems happy and friendly--even the customers--and I can't say that for all Middleburg establishments! ;-) They're open til 6 pm.
