I won't duplicate the glowing reviews of others. Primland is pricey, but worth it in so many ways that others have outlined. In our recent experience there was only one flaw (and not one that should keep you from going if you are prepared to lay out money for luxurious value). It's this,
Stables the lower-rung restaurant on the property remote from the Lodge looks like a Bingo Hall
and serves very forgettable food at relatively steep prices. The people are (as they are everywhere at Primland) classy, but Stables really is a total disconnect with the rest of the operation and is a must miss. No knock on a great establishment overall, just what I hope is a helpful hint.

My husband and I just returned from a stay at the Primland. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect it to be so wonderful. From the moment we pulled up to the Lodge until the moment we left, we were treated like Royalty. I highly recommend this resort.

A beautifully situated resort with all amenities and comforts and prompt and courteous staff. Although expensive, there is great bang for each buck spent, from complementary tea and wine to awe inspiring rooms in the lodge to beautiful pool and spa, game room and fitness room. We did not leave wanting of anything...except to stay longer! We enjoyed a beautiful hike, evening wine by the outdoor fire, and morning skeet shooting. Primland excellently balanced true outdoor fun with elegance and relaxation.

Can't say enough good things about our stay here! The staff was wonderful. They were all very friendly, professional and helpful beyond expectation from the moment we drove up. The lodge was beautiful, as well as our room and our view. The food at both Elements and the pub were amazing. We will definitely be coming back!

We have been to resorts all over the USA and this is on the top of our list. Even after 2 ft of snow we arrived and was greeted within seconds. Registration took less than 5 mins. We were shown the Lodge and all od the amenities. Though we couldn't do any outdoor activities due to the weather of snow and very low temperatures we had an absolutely wonderful time. The cost as compared to other locations is a great value as well.

We have already made reservations for our return!!!

My husband and I recently visited Primland for a babymoon, seeking much-needed relaxation and time together. After researching options within driving distance, we decided on Primland. It far exceeded our expectations. It was truly a relaxing and romantic getaway. The property and accommodations (we stayed in the lodge) are beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We met Lucas and Matthew at the Front Desk the first night and always looked forward to seeing them during our stay. Tracey, Jason and Santana in the Pub were also wonderful, and so was everyone we met. We stayed for 3 nights and dined in each of the restaurants. The food was incredible at each venue, which are all distinct in atmosphere. The spa is amazing for its treatments and facilities, definitely worth a visit on your stay. We hiked one of the nature trails and spent much of the time in the lodge relaxing and enjoying the amenities since it was winter, but there's plenty to do for those who want to be active. Primland is a luxury resort, but it offers a great value and you don't feel like you're getting "nickel and dimed." Wi-Fi, valet parking, evening s'mores, afternoon tea and weekend manager's reception are all included, which were nice perks. With everything it has to offer, all that's included, the first-class service, spa and food, we would definitely recommend it to anyone and will certainly be back. We look forward to many more return visits to Primland!

I have traveled much of the world and spent a good portion of my life living in hotels - and this is easily one of the absolute best places I have ever stayed. It beats out Ritz Carlton easily. Gorgeous rooms, lovely spa, amazing grounds and activities. We were incredibly surprised to find that they'd added a vegan option to the menu for the weekend (we were prepared to just "make a request" of the chef, but he had actually added an item to the menu for our weekend). Although it may be expensive for the area, I would say it is underpriced based on my experience at other luxury hotels. The Bvlgari bathroom items were also lovely. It was quiet and there were not a ton of guests, which was perfect for us.

Room Tip: The Lodge rooms/suites are fantastic. On the website they seem "nice" but they were just b...

It was the vision of Primland's founder, Didier Primat, to create a place of immense beauty that offers his guests a return to simple human pleasures in an environment of refined authenticity and sensuality. He developed Primland in an eco-conscious and thoughtful manner, as the ultimate retreat for world-class golf, refined dining and outdoor activities. Our love of the land is expressed in our extensive efforts to minimize our impact on nature, the freshness of our food, the many organic, sustainable ingredients we source locally or grow in our organic garden and the care with which we look after our guests. Didier Primat instilled his passion for Primland in every member of his family and staff , and they carry forward his legacy with soul, with heart and with a commitment to genuine hospitality. Art is an important part of the Primland experience. We consider hospitality to be an art that involves sharing emotion and pleasure through attention to even the most subtle detail. We also feel that surrounding you with inspired pieces of art enhances your experience. Throughout The Lodge, you will find hand-selected works by American artists as well as authentic and rare Aboriginal paintings from the most remote Australian territories. ... more   less
