My family of four went to Primland for spring break this year. While I was tempted to not write a review in the hopes of keeping this great place a secret our experience was too good to not share it.

Everything about Primland was fantastic. The lodge was beautiful. Our room, a blue ridge suite, was perfect for a family of four. And the amenities couldn't be beat. The staff was amazingly friendly and several people really stood out. Paul, who gave talks in their observatory, was very passionate about his job and it was infectious for everyone who was there. Sammy, who gave shooting instruction, was wonderful instructing kids who were first time shooters on how to shoot skeet. If you do anything out of the Orvis shop ask for Sammy and if you do the tour of the stars wait for a night when Paul is there.

Primland Resort is a premium mountain destination. Everything is handled in an outstanding manner. The facilities, the food, the accommodations and the service are all terrific. The incredibly comfortable bedding with their fine linens are alone worth the trip!! We had a fabulous two days there in late winter. Even though it was cold outside, our experience was totally one of warmth and relaxation. Great job. Special mention goes to the library/270 degree viewing room just below the planetarium. What a great place to read or just look at the awesome scenery. The only reservation we would have is that it is definitely pricey - but what you get is clearly of prime value!!

Room Tip: We were lucky enough to have a Blue Ridge suite as part of a promotional deal. It was fabulous. However, all rooms are great. If you can, get out to see the "Tree House" that is located (literally) out over the cliff just off the 4th green.

My family of 8 adults visited Primland to celebrate my 85th birthday. We stayed in what had been the owners house with 6 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, fireplace and all the amenities and a wonderful view of the mountains. The restaurants were very good and the golf course was a great experience. It was fun to visit Mt. Airey and the little towns nearby. There was a line a block long in Mt. Airey to purchase a pork chop sandwich. A comfortable drive from Hershey, Pa.

We have just returned from Primland. We went with good friends and it was a wonderful experience despite the fog and rain. In fact we were never able to be outside but it made no difference!
Our room was huge, the linens beautiful and the service impeccable. The fires in the lobby were always tended, the staff provided assistance, professionalism, and kindness at every request.

The spa is gorgeous and the fitness center is well equipped if you are interested. Golf is the main attraction but we were there to experience this new spot.

The food is excellent especially the breakfasts. I must say that it is very expensive!! My old-fashioned cost $16.00 which gives you an example.
If you need "outside" entertainment (ie) shops, restaurants, etc. There is nothing. In fact the road from the entrance is 6 miles.

I am certain in the fall and spring it is gorgeous!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a suite with a mountain view.

Weekend trip in March. Although we went with a promotional deal, we never felt like second class citizens. The staff is top notch, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and
the setting is unique. We enjoyed the Star Walk on a clear, cold night and walking on
several of the trails. The meals we had at the restaurants were good, but lacking "wow".
Loved the fire pit. All around good experience.
