“Expensive”

Liked the food. Disliked the prices. Wait staff was good, ambience was very nice, variety of choice was reasonable.

“Left much to be desired”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

The food was good, not great. If you are going to have the kitchen open to the dinning room you need to insist on a little more decorum from thekitchen staff, nothing wrong with people having fun at work but when most of the noise in ghe restaurant comes from the kitchen staff its a littlee off putting.

“Not bad”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

We ate here one day during our stay at Massanutten resort. The food was good, but not great. The server had explained the soup of the day to me as "a different type of vegetable soup with summer vegetables like squash and zucchini in it". When mine arrived it was pretty much all broth with one piece of squash and a few tidbits of carrots. The place is pricey, but they have early bird dinners that are a decent price. It was all just ok. Not really worth the high prices, but not terrible. Service was just ok, as well.

“Nice atmosphere”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Friendly but slow service. Didn't have much time, so we sat at the bar for a quick drink and appetizers. Nice place. No real complaints here.

“Good Food...A Little Pricey Though”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

My husband and I stayed at Massanutten for a week and ate at Fareways three times. The food is consistently good and the service is pretty good as well. One of the visits included food that was a little cold and service that could have been more attentive. The prices aren't cheap...two people eat for about $50 (without dessert or drinks). This is the only decent food option on the resort, however, so you have little choice. The restaurant gets really busy at night on the weekends, so be prepared to wait. The ambiance is nice with dim lighting, but it's not a romantic spot since a lot of large parties eat here. Groups with children or drinks can get noisy. Overall, the experience is good.
