“Loving nature”
Reviewed September 18, 2008

My husband and I and 3 boys ages 20 17 and 9 stayed in a two bedroom cond, which we swaped through rci.If u love nature and beautiful veiws this place has it all. There r deer roaming all over in the back yard and they dont run away,Beavers and otters as well,The property is very spread out so u NEED a car.The cond was very clean and roomey no complaints. The things we did when we were there r as folows They have a indoor water park half in and half out. That was fun water was very warm. Indoor and out door pools. We booked a bus trip throgh the resort AWSOME to washinton DC,My family loved it as did I.We went horse back riding guided walk through the trails, We rented Mountain bikes and rode the trails in the mountains, Went tubing down the Shannnadoah Valley river which was so low at the time of our trip i dont think they should have allowed it, To many rocks. But my boys loved it. My 9 year old loved the mini golf played every night, Go Carets as well. The other great things we did was we went To The Luray Caverns and drove the sky line drivre. We also went to Thomas Jeffersons house in MONaCello (not sure of spelling) WE rented poles and fished. Everythung has a fee but it was worth it.As for food the resteraunt on the fair ways was great. At the bottom of the mountain eat at HANKS SMOKE HOUSE. I live by this web site and hope I helped some people, There are tonsof other things offered here but this is what we did, Have a fun enjoyable visit at this beautifil resort in the mountains, VacationgirlCT

The Massanutten ski and water park resort is a mixed bag. There are many different hotel and condo complexes inside the resort, with more being built all the time. We stayed in the Summit, which is up on the mountain, right alongside the downhill ski run. We had an amazing amount of space: four bedrooms, four full baths, huge living rooms and two balconies and two kitchens. One of the best things was being able to walk out the door, down the stairs, and onto the ski slope. Since we stayed in the summer, we used it as an easy "mountain trail" which the 5 year old loved. Great view from the top. This is by far the roomiest of all the resort's lodgings, and our unit would have slept 8 comfortably with plenty of toddler and teen separate space. Lots of fun craft activities and large indoor and outdoor pools as well. SKIP the timeshare sales pitch, no matter what they offer you--we got $100 to use at the resort but lost almost a whole day for that "reward"!
