We were here for a week and found the resort, high up the mountain, a cool summertime retreat by 10-15 degrees, from the valley. Units are two stories- bedrooms upstairs. Gas fireplace for chill mornings. Downstairs bathroom includes Jacuzzi tub and a sauna, a nice perk not found everywhere. Typical unit amenities. Patio on golf course with lots of visiting deer. A small general store on site. we didn't use it, but it is a convenience in lieu of going several miles down the mountain into a town to a grocery or C-store. A well-used laundry also on property, tho several washers & dryers were out of service. From this location during our week, we took excursions to New Market Battlefield & Virginia Museum of the Civil War, Harrisonburg, Antietam, Harpers Ferry, north and south on the parkway from a central entrance point to Shenandoah National Park, many other Civil War historic points of interest, Monticello, and Michie Tavern.
