We ate dinner at this restaurant during a recent stay at The Inn at Tabbs Creek. We did a little exploring during the afternoon of small, but quaint downtown Matthews and stopped by the restaurant to take a look at the posted menu. A waiter named Chris came out and told us about the restaurant. He sold us on the fresh, local seafood entrees that were the specials for the night, so we returned for dinner. There was a short wait, because it is one of the few restaurants in Matthews, and the food is good. We settled on crabcakes and broiled rockfish. Both were so fresh and delicious. Chris was our waiter. He was friendly, informative, and a great server. I noticed that the locals seemed to be enjoying pizzas and burgers , so I will try them when I return.
