“Grocery Store with Deli Counter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2014

The deli has the best fried chicken and great specials each day. Real comfort food. The grocery does a great job of trying to support "Local Food" as well a main stream necessities one would find in a IGA. Well worth the visit!

“Favorite Food Market”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Oh! Ex-Hippies! You are NOT lost! Come to the IGA, where you are greeted with rickety shopping carts, quite the selection of newspapers, and locally-made fresh breads and produce. Cruise on to the meat counter, where locally-grown beef is packaged in nice containers and you can buy that old VIrginia Ham! On to the eggs, yes, local. Incredible variety of Organic foods that do NOT have a thick layer of dust on top. And their deli counter is manned by a very nice country lady who can sure serve up anything and everything with the assured confidence of doing it forever. My new, favorite laundry detergent is found only here. Yes, organic and septic-safe. You can look at ads for hound puppies and show ponies, and also someone to bring you a load of firewood. Did I mention the ordering capability for a special birthday cake? The IGA is TRULY a shopping experience and guess what, you don't have a ton of shopping cart traffic with strangers trying to mow you down,
