“Old Style Diner, updated”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Have eat at Old Salem for many years. Good food at very reasonable prices. The fried chicken is excellent. It's a simple small town restaurant but is enjoyable. Busy on the weekends for breakfast. I recommend Old Salem.

“Great local place”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

We were a little scared at first because from the outside, the place didn't look like much, however after going in the food was great and the service was very friendly. People were being greeted with hey ya'll and howdy which really made us feel at home. If in the area, give it a try.

“You were brought up with this style!”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Simple food, great value. Atmosphere perfect for an out-of-the-way country town, kinda like Mayberry. Expect your waitress (no servers here, they're waitresses!) to tell you that there's no more of a certain dessert as the lady who made it died...and expect the atmosphere to smack of a town on the slight decline but holding its own, and expect to look at your receipt hard, for surely something was left out at the tiny cost...oh yes, you will love to know about this Cafe as a safe bet! Great for returning, and mind your manners, as you will be remembered...unlike most dining establishments with the huge costs in the city...
