excellent food. a little pricey, but most restaurants in town are around this price for an entree now ($14-$25). Crab sandwich was very good. All 3 other people in our parties had delicious looking food. Very good wait staff, and the owner plays the baby grand piano while you eat. very jazzy. would definitely go back.

Recently had dinner at this restaurant and had a terrible dinner. We ordered a skirt steak and the serving was not even close to the quality skirt steak we expected and vegetables tasted rancid!

Stay away from this place!

Close to Craddock Terry Hotel. The owner plays the piano and sings Tony Bennett and Frank Sintra while you dine. Lot of locals and good menu. We had fried soft shelled crabs. Bartender was good the drinks were not watered down. By the time we left, we knew almost everyone there.

Jimmy on the James would be be rightly considered an excellent restaurant in any city in America, it just happens to be in Lynchburg. In fact, while dining one may well forget entirely that they are in Lynchburg as the dining experience is apt to transport them to an elusive dimension of dinner bliss usually reserved for restaurant scenes crafted for the cinema and rarely encountered in real life. Its a place where the atmosphere and the food tirelessly compete with each other for dominance and happily for the patrons, each could legitimately claim the crown.

Jimmy's is such a cool spot. The owner Jimmy makes you feel like family. The food is very yummy!! And the atmosphere so so cool. Makes you feel like you stepped back in time. I kept waiting for the original Rat Pack members to walk through the door whil Jimmy crooned tunes on the piano.
