We ordered the BBQ chicken and pineapple pizza to go, and then realized we wouldn't have time to get back to our motel to watch the Preakness. The bartender let us sit at the bar to watch the race, and even gave us a couple of glasses of ice water.

Great selection of pizzas and salads. Numerous craft beers on Tap. Kid friendly, sometimes service can be slow if they are really busy, but for the most part its pretty good. Right next door to Randolph College, kids love to run around the grounds after a fun meal

Rivermont pizza offers the best pizza in Lynchburg at a reasonable price. We started as Waterstone Pizza fans but, while still very good, it's now second place on our list. Rivermont pizza offers a wide selection of gourmet, wood-fired pizzas along with excellent appetizers and varying homemade desserts. The bruschetta is absolutely amazing, combining Korean style pork with kimchi. The bread sticks and spinach dip are also much better than the versions offered at most other restaurants. We've yet to have a bad pizza, but our favorites are the Ricky, the Molokai, the Quatro Carne, and the always classic Margherita.

FInally, Rivermont Pizza's Wednesday "date night" special is one of the best values in town. For less than $30 (including tax) you get an appetizer, pizza, desert, and bottle of red or white wine.

Rivermont pizza is great for a date, but also very good for family visits or large-group gatherings in their back room. My only criticism is that the dining area can become warm on particularly hot days when the air conditioning units struggling to keep up.

Rivermont Pizza is a great place to eat and drink. The only downfall is when they hold concerts. Its pretty much a basement so the acoustics are crap and sometimes it just sounds like noise instead of music. Their cheese sticks are out of this world and I think they make their own ranch dressing. Also the Spinach dip is phenomenal. You can't choose a bad thing on the menu. SO GOOD!

Pizzas are cooked in a brick oven... Very good! I really like the crust.
