I've eaten at Magnolia Foods several times, most recently in mid-May. They make gourmet subs. They also have Route 11 gourmet potato chips. I'm particularly fond of their turkey and bacon sub.

We stopped in Magnolia Foods for a take-out picnic dinner. Food was good. Purchased 2 bottles of wine--nice selection. Unfortunately, we found out later in the trip that one of the bottles was 'corked'.

Had been wanting to go here, finally did, nice and cozy. The soup and salad sandwich we had were OK. I don't know if we'll go back.

Magnolia Foods has a great menu that can be enjoyed in the restaurant and wonderful selections to bring home. They also sell wine, chocolates, and other gourmet items. The room is bright and welcoming. Very nice place to lunch.

Fresh ingredients and tasty choices are reasons to patronize Magnolia Foods. (I had the hummus wrap which came with a very thin pickle wedge. Chips and drink are extra. Can't throw a few chips in the basket?) If you're looking for atmosphere, go elsewhere as this is a counter-order place and the indoor tables are located opposite the market area. It was not busy when I visited, but I can imagine that it gets noisy when full because thee's little to absorb the sound. The outdoor seating along Rivermont Avenue would make lunch here more attractive in warmer weather.
