My husband and I were planning our 10-year-anniversary celebration and wanted to find a romantic place to stay that wasn't too far from the DC area when we found Stone Manor Vineyard and Orchard. The setting for this inn is tucked away on a beautiful property giving you lots of privacy. It is an amazing inn that is absolutely charming with lots of warmth. The inn is also conveniently located near several great wineries which we were also able to visit.

Beth and Spencer are the perfect inn keepers and make you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. They gave us both a glass of delicious wine and took us on a tour of the inn. We stayed in the Turret Suite which was a fabulous room with a spa-like bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a wonderful assortment of yummy treats, and dishes made with items grown in the inn's beautiful garden.

We would definitely love to stay at Stone Manor Vineyard and Orchard again -- it's rare to find such a great combination of charm, friendliness and outstanding accommodations, and worth every penny!

Beth and Spencer are lovely....They provided us with a glass of wine upon our arrival. We arrived very late. We were unable to have breakfast with them the first couple of mornings as we had family business to attend to. They provided us with coffe cake and "to go" coffee. When we were able to stay for breakfast, what a spread! Beautiful china and champagne flutes. Gourmet quiche, potatoes, pancakes, belgian waffles. Our room was the East Wing Room. Very comfy. The decor was wonderful. They had a parlor across the hall from us as additional space to use. They have a great media room off the dining room. And they have a library to die for. All orginized by author and subject. We were in Lovettsville to assist our family during a serious illness. Beth was very gracious. She gave us a quiche, stuffed zucchini, and a large zucchini to take to the family. Soooo good!. They made us feel like members of their family. The grounds are superb. They have the most beautiful chickens I have ever seen. Their organic garden is a good sight to see as well. We will be staying again with them this Oct for the Waterford Festival. Looking forward to it.

We stayed at Stone Manor in early May of 2008. I've stayed in fine inns for the last 20 + years, and cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. The facility is a beautifully and lovingly restored 100+ year old stone farmhouse. While the location feels private and remote, you are only a short 15-20 minute ride from Leesburg.

Beth and Spencer say that they want their guests to feel welcomed, relaxed, and loved. You will leave having felt all three. The passion and attention to detail in the restoration of the facility is palpable. The rooms are nothing short of breathtaking. The food, made primarily with the sustainably farmed organic ingredients grown on the inn's grounds are delightful. You can taste the care and love that goes into their preparation. The hospitality from the innkeepers and staff is truly world class.

This was our first visit with Beth and Spencer. It will not be our last. Be sure to accept the innkeeper's recommendation to eat at
The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm. It was among the finest meals I've enjoyed in a very long time.

My wife and I stayed here over a weekend night. We reserved the "peacock suite" which cost me $300. . We saved $9 by paying cash, but paid $34 in taxes (more than our dinner out)

Beth and Spencer gave us a great tour of the place, and provided us with snacks and beverages. The suite we stayed in was nice, had 10 heads in the shower, and a large hot tub. The bedroom was nicely decorated in french decor, but the mattress needs to be replaced.

Our privacy was respected, and we were given our space. The backyard and the scenery outside the manor was a 10. If you want to eat, get ready for a drive b/c I dont think anything is in walking distance.

We got down for breakfast at 10:30 and got leftovers. Breakfast was satisfactory. Apparantly breakfast is from 8:30-9:30, but no one told us this fact. I even asked another guest the previous night, they had no clue. In summary, this place is not worth the $$$. If they slashed the rates by 50%, I would probably stay again.

We are so sorry the guests were not happy about our having to charge tax on a room. However, that is beyond our control. In all fairness, the taxes are no higher than any other area I've been to around the world and in the U.S. As a matter of fact, Virginia/Loudoun County taxes are less expensive than many. The mattress was brand new and extremely expensive (over $2,000) and we've had only rave reviews about how wonderful it is from every other guest (we always check). The breakfast time is told to every guest but I can imagine that it is possible that one guest was somehow missed. Since this review, we now send out the breakfast times in the reservation confirmation email just to make sure that all of the items that can be controlled to make our guests happy - are automatically covered. We stayed in October '07 for my friends wedding. He found it on the internet, what a score. The weddding was awesome. the place is unbelieveable....
We flew down from MA into BWI about an hour flight and hour drive to Stone Manor.
We came back as soon as we could, Feb '08. It was better than before, I booked 3 nights in April and October.
For me it's less expensive than driving to the Cape and more relaxing than a weekend at the spa.
The owners Beth and Spenser make this dream come true....
I know it sounds like I'm trying to sell you something but this place is unbelievable. If you don't believe me, just call there...
....enjoy

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Stone Manor. The B & B was absolutely enchanting. We were warmly greeted and plied with treats and drinks as soon as we arrived. The rooms were well appointed and beautifully decorated with a wide variety of fascinating antiques. The bathrooms were fabulous, big jacuzzis, showers with multiple heads, copper sinks. Spencer and Beth gave us a tour of the house , it is amazing what they have done in just five years. We highly recommend it, as it is a perfect location for visiting wineries, the slots in Charles town, or a historic destination like Harpers Ferry all less than 30 minutes away. And finally the breakfast was delicious, the quiche Beth made was prepared with fresh eggs from her chickens. Not to mention the delicious chocolate chip pancakes, mmm. Spencer and Beth have a solar array in their backyard that provides renewable energy for the house. We liked the B & B so much we bought a gift certificate for a stay there for our parents.
