We just went to do a little walk about, away from the traffic noise. it appears to be a nice place to launch a boat or even some jet skis. there's also a mini golf course.

We stayed a week in Pohick Bay campground the first week of April of 2008 in a tent, it was a great campground. We done a lot of walking and went to the bay and set on a bench and just enjoyed everything so much. We also went to the metro station and went to Washington, DC , WE HAD A BALL!!! One night we was without power and no bathroom, but no one could help that the transformer blew out, but they was on top of it to get it fixed, so we understood everything, sometimes things happens. We are so excited that we are driving our RV to Pohick Bay Regional Park in June 2009 and spend 13 days there!! Everyone there was very helpful and nice. It was nice and peaceful week!

We're tent campers, and go to get away from civilization and commune with nature. However, this site is RV-dominated, with many sites looking like permanent residences. The sites were very close to each other, often with no trees or other shielding. At least all the sites had electric hookups, so no generators running all night.

The bathhouses were filthy.

On the plus side, they had a great, new playground for the kids, and a good ranger interpretative program.

This was a busy fall weekend, so campsites were full all over the area. I'd recommend Burke Lake Park, if its available.
