Brierley Hill is the perfect setting for a relaxing, tranquil get-away. We enjoyed breathtaking mountain views, beautiful gardens, attractive, spacious accommodations and delicious food, including afternoon lemonade and snacks. Karen and Dave are the perfect hosts...they make you feel truly at home, only better, since they do all the work! We hope to return to Brierley Hill soon. It is truly a little bit of "Heaven on Earth"!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful and there are options for suites with sitting rooms. There is also a gorgeo...

I wanted to do something special for my wife for her birthday. As our son is 6 months, we have not had a trip to ourselves. I researched some bed and breakfast and came across Brierley Hill B&B. Upon reading reviews on trip advisor, I was assured that this would be a great location.

In fact, it was perfect! I contacted Dave because I wanted to do a special dinner for my wife that Sunday night. Dave was very responsive and helpful in setting it up. The dinner was for an additional fee, but it was worth it. Dave and his wife Karen prepared a delicious 3 course meal that was prepared better than any 4 or 5 star restaurant . I had rented the Good Friends suite, which has its own private patio, so we had a private dinner set there. The view was just remarkable for our dinner.

The room itself was clean, comfortable, and ideal for anyone who wanted a private patio to be included to step outside. There was a separate living area to the Good Friend's suite, which was nice because after dinner my wife and I went to the other room with the fireplace to just sit, talk, and enjoy some quiet reading.

Dave and Karen really do go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Although they just recently purchased this property (about 2 or so months), they run the place as if they have had it for years. All in all they are great people whose mission it is that you enjoy your stay.

I wish them much success, and my wife and I will be looking forward to visiting for a much longer stay.

Thanks Dave and Karen!

We loved this quiet picturesque area; what a breathtaking view. The trees were flowering and the birds were chirping. Breakfasts were outstanding. Dave and Karen were such a delight and loved to show off their new venture. We shared their first hummingbird . . . a real treat! Also close to Lexington, a place filled with history!

Loved the mockingbirds too!

We would highly recommend this B & B!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the view in the Peace Room.

My sister (from NC) and I (from MD) met halfway in Lexington for a little getaway. This was her first B&B stay, and she was overawed by the experience! Dave greeted us at our cars and helped carry in our luggage. He and Karen made us feel welcome and at home right away, giving us a tour of the inn and showing us to our room in a prompt yet leisurely way (I know, oxymoron, but I really appreciated that they made sure we were comfortable but also made sure we had our space for visiting with each other and getting settled in.).

We stayed in the Wedgwood Room, which has views on three sides of the room. Quite light-filled, spacious (the two of us had room to do yoga together) and lovely! Both the king and twin beds were comfortable. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Dave and Karen gave us a good suggestion for dinner based on what we wanted; even though I think they're new to the area too, they knew exactly where to send us!

Breakfast is always served starting between 8:30 and 9:00am. My sister and I had a table to ourselves by a window with a great view! Breakfast was comprised of three delicious courses...we did not leave hungry! We had the french toast as the main course...Yummy! Before checking out, we played some rummy with the playing cards provided in the common sitting area, then Dave graciously took some photos for us to remember our stay. And we definitely want to remember...this B&B was a perfect setting for our visit!

Other notes: There are two dogs, whose existence I was only aware of when I went out onto the porch and saw them in their separate penned-off area (no barking, no running into our room). Very friendly if you want to pet them! Also, from what I can tell, the B&B is 100% run by Dave and Karen, although we only stayed one night so I'm not positive about housekeeping. They do a fabulous job.

We spent 3 wonderful days here and enjoyed every minute of it. The inn is set on a secluded hill outside of town, overlooks rolling hills and pastureland, with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. You can watch sunrise from the back decks before being served a lovely gourmet breakfast.

The new innkeepers, Dave and Karen Innocent, were welcoming and friendly. They have carefully maintained the very high standards of the previous innkeepers in all respects, including an exceedingly high level of cleanliness, neatness, and warm, casual ambience.

We were there with a group of 8 other guests, and each one commented favorably on how much they enjoyed their stay, and had only high praise for the entire experience. This was my third stay at the Brierley Inn, and I can't wait to return.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely, and each one is unique. Some are set up as 2-room suites with a bath in be...

We recently had an opportunity to stay at the Brierley Hill Inn and were delighted. The new owners, Karen and David Innocent, could not have been more accommodating. The B&B was exquisitely furnished, situated in a beautiful location, and the food was delicious. Our room was quite luxurious with an ornate bed, a lovely sitting room, and a decadent bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a separate walk-in shower. We also had our own private deck. The views through all of the windows were spectacular. On our first night we had a dusting of snow that blanketed the surrounding flora and valley below. The scene was so captivating that we kept the blinds open to savor the beauty. The early morning sun as it raked across the fields with low-lying fog drifting along the creeks was a bonus. The 3-course breakfasts were delectable and more than ample. Karen and David were the perfect hosts—warm, inviting, unpretentious, and went far beyond the call to flex to the needs of our group. Our time at the Brierley was perfect in every way.

Room Tip: The Magnolia Cottage is a separate entity which is absolutely fantastic. It is private, beautifully...

Easy to find, lovely property, spectacular valley view, and delightful innkeepers. Close to all the sights of Lexington. Immaculate. Huge bathrooms. And the breakfast...heavenly. Pretty sure i can say with confidence that you've never been served a breakfast like this! Would be an ideal location for a small wedding, graduation party, etc. Fills up VERY quickly for the local universities' parents weekends, homecomings, and graduations.
