We traveled here for the United States Pony Club East Coast Championships. The facility was very well maintained and comfortable, and supportive of this fantastic organization. Thank you for hosting this event, and we will be back!

What a great facility for any kind of horse event. The different barns were amazing and the ring footing and variety was great.

My wife, two daughters, (14 and 11) and I stopped at this facility on the way back from a trip to Virginia Tech to kill some time and check the place out. The location is easy to get to off of Highway 81 and the signs directing you are clear and placed well. We got there a bit early on a Saturday morning, around 10 o'clock or so, and it looked like the day was going to be packed with activities. While we were there, we checked out the horse shows that were taking place and we were able to see a variety of horses and styles. Riders were decked out in their Western or English riding gear and we even saw a couple of trotters. We walked through all of the stables and even some of the other facilities, which had a livestock show going on, which was pretty interesting too. There was going to be an old fashioned horse pull later in the day, but that was going to cost some money, and we were not going to be there that late anyhow.

This is a very nice facility and they have a good website too. i'd recommend it for a nice break on a road trip. You can find days that have activities on the website's calendar of events.

We are not huge horse enthusiasts, but enjoyed our 2 hours roaming around and we were glad we went.

We visited the centre during a riding competition. The lady at the information kiosk was very helpful, explained the programme of events and made us feel welcome. We had a very pleasant time watching several riders in the jumping arenas and performing dressage. It was lovely to see so many talented young riders.

My 15 year old daughter and I came to Natural Bridge, VA for Father's Day this past Sunday 6/16/13. She is an avid rider and has always wanted to see a horse show. The Virginia Arabian Horse club was having numerous competitions while we were in town, so we came on Friday during the afternoon before we headed into downtown Lexington to see some sites.

To say that we had a good time would be an understatement. I had no idea how friendly horse-people were until we arrived here. We bought some used paddock boots for my daughter's growing feet from Carolyne for $5 (thanks for saving us some $$, Carolyne) and told them we were visiting for the first time and she encouraged us to come back and sit with them for a while after touring the facility so they can teach us about the various competitions. Well, there just wasn't enough time as the facility was HUGE!

We met some really cool teens my daughter's age that were encouraging her to show, and some adults that were glad you walked by to talk with them and see their horses. We even had the opportunity to talk with a rider that just finished her hunt jumping and was very courteous.

Anyway, if you're a horse lover and all things horse, you have to stop by when there's a competition. The place was quite empty when we were there, but that allowed us the time to have longer conversations with people, learn more from the groups, and even say hi to the VHC staff member, Marie!
