The opening of Hull's Drive-In is one of the many signs that Spring has arrived in the Blue Ridge Valley. When the sign changes, and the first movies are announced, you know another summer of movies under the stars is about to start. Unfortunately I haven't been able to make it to a movie recently, but still drive by whenever in the area. This is a great way to spend time with family and friends in a way that you can't find in many places anymore.
This amazing landmark was almost lost for good several years ago, but was thankfully saved. Many of the movies they show are relatively new, and the price of admission is far from crazy prices at the movie theaters. There are two movies shown a weekend, with the first one (on Friday and Saturday) being geared towards younger crowds. In addition, when you go you help ensure that future generations will get to share in this tradition.
Certainly it's not as high tech as the IMAX theaters, but if you're looking for a good way to spend time with family and friends while catching a good movie or two...you can't beat the drive in.
Highly suggest stopping by for an evening and catching the movies at Hull's Drive-In!
