Stayed here during VMI graduation weekend. The check in area and the rooms had a musty cigarette smell, the putt putt area was a joke - really run down, seemed dangerous actually. The room itself was cleaner than I expected, but still nothing fabulous. The rooms have instructions on finding wireless from a network called "Howard Johnson" but the only wirelesses that show up are called "wandering wireless" and I couldn't get it to connect to my computer, and the girl at the desk was really unhelpful. The rooms have mini-fridges and ours made a really loud and annoying buzzing sound. I didn't try or even scope out the breakfast. Will likely never be returning to the area, but I wouldn't stay here again.
We stayed here during our vacation trip to the beach as a halfway point. Most other hotels in this area of comparable brands were charging over $100/night but we managed saving quite a bit by staying here. There's a pool but it wasn't open during our stay, but the hotel did have a miniature golf course which was kind of unique.
The rooms were nice
and clean, the beds soft and comfy. There is a fridge in the room but no microwave. There was a teeny tiny balcony with maybe enough room for 1 person. As with most places it could use a few updates but we were satisfied.
