Description: The art of cooking with wood enhances the Ironwood Tavern"s experience with bold flavors simply not found with alternative cooking methods. Executive Chef Luis incorporates the seasonal offerings such as beef, pork, poultry, seafood and fresh produce from small local farms and purveyors for our cuisine. Craft beer is our focus and our passion. All of our 24 craft beers on draft reflect a personal vision. Our craft beer list is different, intriguing, and constantly evolving, like the world of craft beer itself. A menu that features styles from all over the world, but is predominantly American and local in focus. Our craft beer experts works with chef Luis to develop the menus, and that the pair sometimes start with the beer and work backwards to the food from there.

OK, I have tried this place twice and there won't be a third time. The food just isn't good... the atmosphere is so plain it looks like they are not done decorating yet. The servers act as if they are not sure if they are waiting tables or seating guests... perhaps they need more training. Folks, just not worth the money....

This is by far the best restaurant in Loudoun County, VA! Food is excellent, always great service with a smile, and friendly and warm welcome. They are family-friendly and handicapped accessible. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The flat iron steak is to die for. They are accommodating to families with children as well. You can make substitutions as requested as well. Atmosphere inside is very nice as well. This was a former restaurant and they don't have near the volume that their service, prices, and quality should have. It is hidden back by Walmart and is an undiscovered treasure. They are also not a chain and are locally owned and operated. The asparagus is grilled to perfection as well, although I do wish they would give a larger serving. Highly recommended and well loved by our family! They feature a bar as well...

We like independent, locally owned and operated family restaurants. Ironwood Tavern is one of the best finds yet. We particularly enjoyed wood grilled mahi mahi with pineapple butter sauce and asparagus. The chef incorporates fresh, seasonal produce from local farms, and there is an extensive craft beer menu. Our dining experience began with a basket of homemade corn muffins. Salads were beautiful and delicious. Service was friendly and excellent.

I stopped in one time as it was convenient-and I was curious as many other places had come and gone in this location in the middle of a mall parking lot. I was pleasantly surprised by the food-I had the flatbread appetizer with chicken and the salmon blt-both awesome. The appetizer was so generously portioned (and delicious) that on several visits since I've just had that as my main course. It has a wonderful dressing of fresh herbs in a paste like a pesto. The salmon blt is also very very good. I find it hard to stray from these two things but experiment on occasion and am never dissapointed.

For those that like beer-the selection of beers on draft seems impressive and constantly changing.

They have a huge bar area, lots of TVs, and lots of beer on tap. Other than that I could mistake it for any other TGIF, LoneStar, Texas Roadhouse, etc., etc. "american food" restaurant. Completely forgettable, but not bad.
