Thanks to the Westmoreland Davis preservation Society we can see a piece of the past. The mansion and grounds are beautifully preserved. They and caring docents take visitors back to an era, early 1900's when Westmoreland and Marguerite Davis lived on the estate, and influenced animal farming in the South. The Society did a wonderful job preserving the mansion, furniture, and furnishings so visitors can appreciate how the Davises lived. Small fee. Must visit if near Leesburg. Combine with Winmill Carriage a Museum, and stay for a picnic or dine in nearby Leesburg.
