“Quick bite before movie”

Ended up in the area to watch a movie, Bourne Legacy (no comment). Pizza was pretty good, pizza was wood fired. Good for what it is.

“Great pizza!”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

Loved sitting outside on a nice day and enjoying a good wood-fired pizza. The service is good and they have a decent wine and beer selection.

“Decent Pizza, but menu is a bit limited.”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

I have eaten here numerous times - enough in fact, to now be able to write a competent review. First - the pizza is decent, and even better if you are quite accustomed to eating from one of the pizza chains. The downside with the pizza is that the pizza menu is completely specialized and the only way to really get a favorite type of pizza like a pepperoni or a supreme, is to essentially make your own - which can be expensive.
Second - the menu itself is quite limited. There is a fairly small pizza menu bolstered with a make-your-own option, along with a few specialty pizzas. There is a macaroni, and about 3 sub type sandwiches, a calzone and Stromboli, along with a handful of salads. If you are with a group and craving a hamburger, a standard sub, or a different type of sandwich, you will have to make do with what they have or hit somewhere afterwards.
Third - the food quality: the pizzas and most of the other menu items are made well and usually will rate at least a 4 out of 5 stars. If you are a pizza snob, or used to pizzas in Italy, Fireworks will disappoint because Leesburg is NOT Italy. However, the macaroni and cheese stands out because the quality is occasionally hit and miss. The last time I had it, there was a slight soapy taste which was quite off-putting.
Fourth - the service: the staff are usually attentive and sitting down for a meal will usually take less than 45 minutes from sit down to paying the check. There are times, even when fairly slow, that it will appear that the wait staff has forgotten about you, but this often appears to be the case of an individual staff member, than a statement about the wait staff overall.
Fifth - the drinks: there is a nice selection of alcoholic drinks available with enough beer choices to satisfy most people except a visiting German tourist. The micro-brews are usually well-picked and the Bar staff clearly know what they are doing - each beer glass show extensive lacing while enjoying your beer which indicates that the staff made quite sure to start with a thoroughly clean glass. That, whether you know this or not, is extremely important when it comes to serving beer.

“Excellent variety for pizza toppings, beer and local wines”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Fireworks offerings were far beyond the traditional pizza place. We shared a hand tossed 14" pie with pesto, roasted red peppers, spinach, red onion, local bacon and feta cheese. Most side salads were under $4.

When we visited, they were having a farm to food event which focused on local products, in addition to their regular menu.

We arrived at 5pm and were seated immediately. Although the inside seating was almost full there were plenty of tables outside. Our server was attentive and helpful. Pizza arrived within 10 minutes of placing our order.

The bar area was full and lively, the table and booth placement was close, but adequate.

“Great beer, great pizza”

I had Ommegang beer on tap, which was delicious. The pizza I ordered was hot, fresh, and delicious. Lovely place for a casual dinner or lunch.
