Had lunch on July 28 near the pool. All in an acceptable experience, with considerable room for improvement.
Positives first. The view is outstanding from the pool restaurant. And the restaurant serves food through the afternoon, often important for families with kids.
Negatives: decor is tired. Think 1970s hotel conference room enliven by random plastic flags. I'd tie it an F, but the view drowns it out. Food was average, yet overpriced. I didn't realize Sysco had hamburger meat of such poor quality... Distinctly sub mcdonalds. The crushed ice margarita was not up to new Orleans sidewalk level - from the evidence, stick to something bottled they can't mess up.
Service was nice enough, but slow with iffy English. Not sure if the slow was the severs fault, evidently they don't even have a grill down there, and food needs to be carried from the kitchen.
All in, there is a lot of room for improvement, but potential.
Oh, and one ferry captain was buzzing the guests at the beach in a manner that I found appalling, and thought of reporting, as an experienced boater. Management should take note before someone gets diced by a prop
