“Northern Neck Historical Site”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

This is a historical site preserved though the dedication of many local supporters. The grounds are beautiful and it gives you a sense of the history of Northern Neck, VA going back to the days when this was a British colony.

“A gem”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

This 1730s church is an architectural gem. Get a leaflet from the museum or a guided tour from a docent. Just don't miss this beautiful place.

“Amazing Find”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

I had been told about Christ Church without knowing that was what it is. nestled away in the woods, this is a remarkably well preserved and maintained 1700's church that during the summer Tourist Season continues to have Sunday services. The docents provide an added touch that goes beyond what the museum and a self-guided tour would present. Absolutely worth the visit.

“A must for history buffs”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

This is a beautiful colonial era church that is open only during the summer (no heat). Worth the short side trip to visit . . . expecially for anyone interested in colonial architecture and history. Beautiful spot.

“Out of the way but worth the trip.”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

Almost 300 years old, the church is an architectural and historical gem. Also located on Virginia's Northern Neck are Washington's Birthplace, Stratford Hall which was the home of the Lee family and other historical sites. I actually intended to give the church an "excellent" rating.
