“Well, If You're Hungry, They Have Food”

The food here is fine and inexpensive. We ate lunch and I ordered a chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon. And that's exactly what I got. If you want french fries, etc., they are not included (which is fine), otherwise it's a no-frills kind of place with plain food. The one bonus was the sweet potato fries which were a nice option and were okay. Not a spectacular meal, not horrible, just okay.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Visiting The Homestead with family for spring break. Not easy to find a fast but good eats place where our kids outnumber the adults two to one. We sat in the Elvis room and enjoyed looking at the memorabilia. Also several arcade games and a pool table that the kids enjoyed. Food was simple, home cooking - burgers and dogs - and hit the spot for our hungry fishermen. It was a nice change of pace from the homestead restaurants. The service was friendly and served with a big smile.

“The real thing”

What a fun find in this area. Low key and down to earth. We really enjoyed the food and the friendly authentic service. Menu is basic with a daily special. Nothing fancy - just good comfort food. Definitely will go back when we visit the Homestead again.

“Great food without Homestead price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

On a recent trip to the Homestead Resort my wife and children (ages 5 & 15) were delighted to discover Lindsay's. We had asked the concierge to book us at Sam Snead's Tavern but they were full. I had a local recommend a place and he told us to try Lyndsay's. So glad we did. A short walk from the hotel and we were there. My 15 yr old was hesitant once we got there because it looked small. But we were quickly seated by a friendly hostess. She suggested my daughter try the chicken fried steak and it was a hit. My wife loved the chopped steak with mac n cheese. My son and I both had cheeseburgers. Very good as well.
The staff was overly friendly even though they were getting ready to close. Our waitress "snuck" my son fifty cents so he could play a game in their arcade. They also called us a shuttle from the hotel. The folks at the Homestead do not approve. When we went back for breakfast the next morning the driver told us that he would have to charge us. By the way, the breakfast is equally as good. And it will not break your wallet. Also it is nice to wear "comfortable" clothing. No dress code here!
