We stayed here for one night on our way to Franklin, NC for a planned vacation to explore the Smoky Mountains from the eastern side then on to Tn to explore the west. We had a king room with a jacuzzi tub. The room was set up kind of strange; the couch was behind a beam and two chairs facing the television. but aside from the strange lay out it was clean, comfortable, and the tub was a bonus. The room did not seem as though it was abused by travelers with pets. We travel with our boxer and I have to think that he is neater and creates less mess than alot of humans. The breakfast was well stocked, clean and everything was fresh. For an overnight travel, I would certianly recommend this place. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was an older property, and as such, was priced too high. It was clean and comfortable with WIFI and "park at your door." (which we like)... The room was a long distance from the office and the hot breakfast area. We're age 69, so we drove down to it.The location was busy, but the room was quiet. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: See note about distance from the office and breakfast.

We arrived at 9:45 PM as our van wouldn't move another inch in their parking area. Kayla, the receptionist, was VERY understanding of our plight. She even gave us places to call to get the transmission fixed. In the morning Heather was equally as helpful. These two give us all hope in the young people who serve us. Heather even explained to the police that our van could not be moved due to transmission problems. While we waited for the repair to be done the next day, Kayla invited us to wait in the lobby until we could leave to get our repaired vehicle. What caring people!!!

We chose this place because we needed a halfway point to our vacation at the beach. After checking motels in the nearest large town in VA, we picked Hillsville because of the ability to drive up to our room and unload luggage rather than drag it though hallways and up an elevator. It was surprisingly easy to get to from the interstate, it was reasonably priced, it was neat and clean, and we found it to be be no less sufficient than the last Holliday Inn in which we stayed. As a matter of fact, it was exactly the same but cheaper. Small pool but who cares. Hot breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 AM: Eggs, pastries, grits, coffee, juice, fruit. Who could ask for more? Free wireless.
Drawback: It is noisy. Interstate traffic is not a factor; it is those who decide to stay there after (apparently) pulling off late at night who may still want to party or be louder than necessary.

Room Tip: Room 117...you have to practically kick the door in. Avoid rooms by the ice machines.

Stay here several times a year traveling between SC andNY. It is convenient, smoker and pet friendly. The cleanliness is usually acceptable to good, although we have found issues on occasion. The rooms are decent. Beds are nice, new flat screen TVs,tables&chairs are at the end of useful life. Some rooms have maintenance issues like loose toilets electrical outlets etc. There are usually traveling work crews staying here, so you can be awakened early by diesel trucks starting up.In spite of some negatives we are happy overall. The breakfast is better than most. The rates are reasonable. The staff is OK. Actually the setting is relatively quiet being close to an interchange.

My sister reserved a room on the internet f
So we could stopped there one the way home from the beach with our children. We had a room for 6 folks and where suppose to have queen beds. We didn' t make it there until around 9:30. The front desk was completely rude to my sister when she asked why she was told that the room only fits four and we made reservation for 6. We tried to cancel our reservation, but was told we where not able to do so, due to it being after the time. When we got into our room we found traces of BED BUGS and the girl at the front desk refused to go see our evidence and told us we have been a problem all night and she was going to check us out. Such poor customer service.

We stopped at this Inn on a trip from southwestern Florida to New York. We usually obtain a travel coupon book at a rest area and plan our stop based on what's available there. The room we obtained was large and with carpet and furnishings that were either new or gently used. typical of the latest trend in room decor, with european style bed dressing. The bed linens and towels were of good quality, and there were four smallish pillows on each bed. We appreciated having a fridge in the room to cool our drinks and ice packs for the road. Other expected offerings, such as microwave, in-room coffee, hair dryer and iron were available. The vanity was in the dresssing area, and the bath itself was small, as so often is the case.
The buffet breakfast had a reasonable assortment of hot and cold items. I would say that this inn meets expectations for a Quality Inn. If you happen to also get a bargain price, you should not be disappointed!
