“Where everyone feels like a regular”

Jimmy's is central to the downtown Herndon scene. From company lunches to a vibrant nightlife, you can find everything you are looking for at Jimmy's. The food is great to boot. Try one of Pam's homemade pies, or the Jimchos and you definitely won't be disappointed. For those who like something with a little kick, Jimmy's jambalaya is sure to make your mouth water and your forehead sweat.

Tuesday night has JOTT trivia - the best trivia you can find in Northern Virgnia, Wednesday is open mic night.

If you're younger and looking for a place to party on a Friday or Saturday night, Jimmy's is the place to be. Never a cover, and Friday you get a dance floor and fire breathing bartenders, with Saturday being the midnight mystery contest.

Also great for your special events! Birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties and anniversary. You can find anything here!

“Awesome Tavern!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2010

Truly a Cheerslike atmosphere, where the staff greets you with open arms. Awesome bar food, especially the genuine Buffalo Wings, Beef on Weck, the best Philly Cheesesteak south of Philly, and "Jimchos!" All at reasonable prices.

Great theme nights such as Trivia Night Tuesday, Guest Bartending Nights, the Ice Luge, Texas Hold 'Em on Sundays and on and on.

Ask for Jimmy or Pam or Nicole or Danielle or TJ or Justin or Roy by name when you arrive. They really will "Treat you like a regular."

“Fun old place”

Had a good time in this old tavern. Went on a busy Cinco de Mayo night and it was fun. The food was good and the atmosphere was great.

“As comfortable as a well worn shoe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2010

Typical pubby atmosphere, lots of wood, big bar, complete with the distant aroma of smoke still lingering well after the ban. The staff was beyond nice and made you feel like you have been coming for years. They were obviously gearing up for St. Patty's day as the place was more green than brown.

The menu was small, but had a nice variety and they had some specials like Shepherd's Pie. I opted for the cheesesteak which is a favorite comfort food of mine and my husband chose the beef on weck. Both sandwiches came with homemade fries, a pickle and coleslaw. The latter was excellent, the right blend of every ingredient and a perfect side dish.

The cheesesteak with provolone looked unbelievable. Photo included. Packed with minced meat that was perfectly coated with provolone cheese. Not sure how they accomplished this, unless they made the provolone whiz like. Pretty disappointed with the Amaroso roll though as it seemed it had met its expiration date and decided to stay longer. Definitely did not help the sandwich, which was a bummer. Overall, though, enjoyable.

Beef on weck got a 6.5 out of 10. Flavors were there, but as photo shows the bun was kind of overwhelming the meat, which puts things a bit off balance. Nevertheless, perfectly acceptable and tasty. The fries were definitely flavorful and you could immediately tell they were homemade. Just wish they were crispier.

All in all though, I would have no problems going back as there was nothing I didn't like about the place.

“Amazing old-town Herndon pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2010

This is a historic pub/building in Herndon and they work hard to ensure that they don't disappoint. My wife and I have been here a few times and the food and service never disappoints. The people are really nice and the service is amazing. We have had the same young lady each time and she is full of energy and always checks on us and her 1/2 dozen other tables. She times the appetizer/food arrival times perfectly and, speaking of appetizers, the Putane is amazing. It's the only place, outside of Canada, where we have found Putane. One night we were there they had a delicious Prime Rib that could be cut with a butterknife. It was delicious.

The only downside was the main that the main entrance is near the bar where folks are smoking. They do have a side entrance that folks can use and we used it to exit after tipping our waitress and polishing off our drinks.
