“Unique”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2012

This place is known for its breakfast, so my roommates and I went on a week day morning to give it a try. It was definitely a different experience. I ordered the coconut pancakes, one roommate got the tofu breakfast burrito, and the other got a bagel sandwich. My pancakes were delicious. I got two large pancakes. However, you have to pay extra for real maple syrup. My roommates also really liked what they ordered. There are lots of vegan, vegetarian, and locally grown choices. For a fun touch, there are Trivial Pursuit cards set around the windows to entertain guests while they wait for their food. Give it a try! It's an experience worth having.

“For an eclectic experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2012

This restaurant has vegetarian fare, but there are other choices as well. It is a gathering place for students from the area Universities, city workers, professors, the semi-homeless, government employees, just about everyone in Harrisonburg finds their way to the little grill. Some great food, predominately organic, locally grown. Looks a bit run down but don't let that turn you away. The food and atmosphere are worth it.

“MACROCK”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2012

This restaurant is awesome. I only ate breakfast here, which was amazing on a Sunday. However, I attended during MACROCK weekend and caught a show here as well as Open Mic Night on a Thursday. The same staff is there every day and you can't help but feel at home when you enjoy a meal at The Little Grill.

They do only accept cash or check, but that really isn't a problem because things are priced honestly. There is always a line, but I am fairly sure they don't take reservations. Doesn't matter, worth the wait.

“Fun Little Hippie Joint (leave your plastic at home)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2012

The food and vibe are what makes this place. If you are looking for high-end decor and food, move on up the road. If you're searching for unique food and a laid back, friendly vibe, come on in. These guys are out to serve good food, a good vibe and support the salt of the earth. But they don't take American Express, or any other form of plastic for that matter, so bring cash or a check book. Oh, and if you're dropping in for a weekend breakfast, go early. The crowds pick up around 9:30 and last until the lunch menu hits the tables.
