The Restaurant offers a unique and exquisite a la carte menu that changes with the seasons, along with an extensive selection of beers and an award-winning wine list. Featured are the food products of many small local farms and producers who supply our kitchen with high quality ingredients that simply cannot be found elsewhere. Chef's Tom French and Brian Bogan work together to create food that highlights Virginia's southern heritage while adding a French influence to the dish. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. Arrive early and enjoy a cocktail in our lounge before dinner.

“Nice food”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

After the disapointment of seeing our room,
Having a Mojito in the bar, which was not tasting like a Mojito,
it was a nice surprise that the food and service was good :)
We had a nice evening. I would gladly come a visit the restaurant again !

MOJITO - Ingredients:

2 teaspoons sugar
6-8 mint leaves
Club soda
1 lime, halved
2 ounces light rum
Mint sprig for garnish

Place the sugar, the mint leaves, and a little club soda into a highball glass.
Muddle well to dissolve the sugar and to release the mint flavor.
Squeeze the juice from both halves of the lime into the glass.
Drop one half of the lime into the glass.
Add the rum.
Stir well.

“Elegant but not stuffy!”

Liked Everything!!. Venison chops were superb, as were the raviolis. They had a very nice and reasonably priced wine list. Atmosphere is quite elegant and service was exellent.

“What a delight!”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

While visiting local vineyards, we stopped for dinner in Harrisonburg, VA. We happened onto this restaurant. Thursday is date night! Two entrees with a shared dessert and appetizer for $55.00.
Because we don't eat the same things, we splurged another $12 for a second appetizer and were quite satisfied. The pork chop over black-eyed peas was terrific and I could not have asked for a better palate pleaser than their bluefish cake followed by the duck over finger potatoes... OMG! What a wonderful meal! Chocolate dessert was good too, but it is rarely my favorite part of my meal.

“Fine Dining in Harrisonburg”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Lovely historical setting; friendly and solicitous service. Delicious food - locally grown, expertly prepared by Master Chef. Prices are high, but deservedly so. Go for a special night. We celebrated our daughter's graduation from JMU Masters in Accounting - Woo Hoo!!!
