Went on an early Monday night with husband and child. Place was not busy but most people were outside on the roof top deck. Ordered the house made chips&salsa they were great! Food was quick which is nice with a hungry 2 yr old :). Atmosphere is charming if its exposed brick and Unstained wood. If this place was in our hometown it would be crowed 24/7! Noticed a very large selection of tequila and drinks some house infused . Would be a fun place for girls or guys night out or bridal parties!

You can always depend on getting the best burritos, appetizers and margaritas in Harrisonburg whe. You come to Ricks Cantina. The Duck Burrito is the best burrito I have ever eaten. The service is always pleasant and helpful. During nice weather it's nice to sit on the roof and enjoy your meal. It's my go to place for a casual dinner when friends are in town.

The space is very small and can feel cramped at times. The food is great and authentic-tasting. The drinks are unique and there is a LARGE list of tequilas.

Excellent , fresh made to order Mexican food. We ate on the roof top on a beautiful evening overlooking downtown Harrisonburg. We started off with homemade guacamole and chips which was really excellent. We tried the spicy chili soup also really good. The mango margarita was very refreshing also. We tried the fish burrito which was like an explosion of fresh ingredients in your mouth! The sweetness of the slaw combined with the spices of the fish were amazing! Although I do have to say I miss the old Pennybackers we were so glad that Rick's Cantina took over and looking forward to many meals there as our daughter goes to JMU!

The atmosphere was fun and the menu offered interesting choices such as duck. Most of the food was a little too spicy.
