Bet you didn't know that Hampton is the oldest, continuous English speaking colony in America.

My wife and I went on a hunch looking for some genealogy info from the late 1600's. We did not find what we were looking for but found this hidden jewel instead. They characterize the city as the oldest continously occupied city in the US and the Museum dous an excellent job portraying it. If you are in the area, definitely worth seeing.

As a Hampton University Alum, I had to go visit the museum and university while in town. The museum was absolutely fantastic and a "must see" if you ever get a chance and are into black art. Very educational and an integral part of African American History and the start of Hampton University. Great job!
