They have boats and paddleboats that you can rent for a pretty cheap price. Huge pond/lake with lots of fish and turtles.

They have a fantastic kids area (IN THE SHADE). They have grills you can back up to with your car. Shelters, a fishing lake with pier. Camp ground and all sits right in the middle of an area where you can shop, eat and go to the movies. How can you beat that. Oh they have trails for hiking and riding bikes too.

When I lived in Newport News I would go to this park. It's so nice and really cool that its not only big with lots of play spots and trails but also clean and relaxing. I would just let my daughter play while I sat and read a book or went on a nice long walk. I miss it.

Very family-oriented little park. We felt safe and enjoyed the surroundings. People were walking their dogs and children playing on the big playground. A very pleasant place.
