“Golf lovers, this is your place”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Totally suprised my husband with a weekend getaway and I couldn't have picked a more perfect place. This hotel is surrounded by the most beautiful golf field. The landscape surrounding it is beautiful. Although is only one hour from home, it made us feel as if we were away hundreds of miles!Oh, did I mention I had the best night sleep in probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in at any hotel?
Didn't get to use the ammenities but I can say everything is just as described on their website. Check in building was a little hard to find and the staff was pleasant. I would definetely recommend this hotel specially if you're a golfer!

Fore! Great review coming through. Thanks for sharing your weekend golf experience with us. Many people, just like you, have found Wyndham Virginia Crossings to be a surprise - especially our golf guests. The Crossings is beautifully maintained, solid test golf and is managed by Billy Casper - one of the best. The hotel is a Four Diamond experience featuring landscaped grounds, historic architecture, two great restaurants, pool & fitness center, spacious accommodations and friendly staff. This is definitely a "hidden golf gem" and perfect for a weekend golf getaway. We're happy you found us and hope that you return soon. Until then, safe travels.

We were NOT advised that our room was "handicapped." Shower was awful (volume AND temp controls are needed). Door misaligned and sticking. Where was the announcement of "Wash Area?" As evidenced by cars parking on grass and ALL available open spots, your parking is insufficient.
Where is "Event" choice for "What sort of trip...?" You need "N/A" for "experiences" we did not, um, experience.

Thank you for writing and sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. I do apologize that your accommodations did not meet expectations - unfortunately we were in a sell-out situation. I have informed our engineering department about maintenance issues in your room and they have acted on this information. Thank you. I've also forwarded your guest survey concerns to Wyndham for consideration. We do hope you return one day and I promise you a much improved experience. Safe travels.

I'm surprised upon arrival at the gate. It's like entering a private club. It was a nice drive to the check-in building, through a well kept and trimmed garden. The building is a nice old charm building with colonial feel. The hotel rooms was in two separate buildings, one with a restaurant. There is a nice gondola overlooking a hill with golf course. We enjoyed our stays. The staff were accommodating and friendly. We love to come back in this hotel again.

Thank you for your review. Many people who visit Wyndham Virginia Crossings for the first time are surprised (just as you were - "Unexpected Gem"). Our gated entrance, beautiful landscaping, historical architecture and, most of all, our exceptional associates really help us distinguish ourselves from the conventional high rise hotels. We appreciate your business and hope that you do indeed "come back" soon. In the meantime, safe travels.

Stayed on 4th floor in Monroe Hall (residence); I think it's the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Entering Jefferson Hall (registration)-the doors open outward for your entrance, so be careful. The hotel is elegantly furnished & staff is attentive. The property has an entrance reminiscent of an estate. It's very near to a gated community; easy to miss, so look hard-you'll get to it before you enter the gated community (it's on the immediate left). There are 3 buildings on the property, but only 1 houses residences (fills up quickly). Worth the trip-drove 2 hours; had a wedding to attend.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Wyndham Virginia Crossings. We appreciate being called a "hidden gem" although we love being discovered by travelers like yourself. Our new mattresses are getting rave reviews and they are indeed "most comfortable" (I have the same on my bed at home). We do hope you return to visit our hotel "estate" again. Until then, safe travels.

We've been here twice. The only problem is that there isn't much parking, but that was probably due to the NASCAR race in Richmond. They also have a great breakfast buffet.
The hotel is located near interstate highways and lots of shopping also.

Room Tip: Most rooms are $109.00 then like $399 then $699

We appreciate you selecting Wyndham Virginia Crossings and taking time to write. Our parking was indeed impacted by the NASCAR weekend. We're sorry if you were in any way inconvenienced. Thanks, too, for mentioning our great breakfast buffet. It's one of the best in Virginia and Chef Ivan Coleman takes great pleasure in hearing such accolades. At Wyndham Virginia Crossings we like to say "We're close to everything and yet, a world apart". Please come back and see us. Safe travels.
