Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

I spent a week at this hotel and conference center and enjoyed the experience. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with wireless and wired Internet available. Food at both the Tavern and in the main restaurant is well-prepared and plentiful. The grounds are beautiful and walkable. Conference facilities were first-rate and the breakrooms were overflowing with coffee and food!

Thank you for your comments. We really appreciate hearing from you and are pleased to know your conference went well. Wyndham Virginia Crossings has won numerous awards over the years including Wyndham's CountOnMe Award for guest service and company culture. In fact, out of over 140 hotels worldwide, Wyndham Virginia Crossings has been honored as the top hotel twice in the last three years. Thanks, too, for mentioning The Glen and Tavern Restaurants. We've just created an exciting new menu for The Tavern and it sounds from your positive review that we're on the right track. I'll pass along your comments to Chef Ivan Coleman and Restaurant Manager, Kim Carragher. Again, thank you for your business and safe travels.

Upon driving to Florida we needed to break our trip up from New York. So with a great deal on Hotwire we stayed at the Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center. The property is gorgeous and has an old colonial mansion look to it. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our encounter with Jamie part of the wait staff at the pub. She's an excellent bartender and server. The hotel has this very cool underground tunnel that connects the 3 buildings on the property that's decorated with beautiful pictures from around our great country. It was perfect to keep us dry when the weather was extremely wet and cold during our first stay in Feb. We liked the place so much we decided to stay there on our return. And will stay there in the future as well.

Room Tip: Try not to stay close to the back entrance. Somewhat noisy with people coming in and out.

Thank you for not only your review of Wyndham Virginia Crossings, but for your continued patronage. Our property is unique and is definitely not your typical 'box' hotel. There are all kinds of things to discover here including our new Walk Across America underground passageways. It's hard not to want to walk between our historic buildings by way of our beautiful brick pathways and through our lush gardens. However, when the weather turns, the passageways offer warm and dry transport and a pictorial trip from the windswept shores of Hatteras to the sundrenched beaches of Hawaii. As you said what a "great country". We do hope to see you here at Wyndham Virginia Crossings again and again. Until then, safe travels.

It was a nice property and the room was comfortable. However, the wifi would not even show up in our room. I could get spotty reception in the bathroom, but none at all in the room. This would keep us from staying more than one night.

We recently stayed here for a VCU graduation. We usually stay downtown closer to VCU but found a great price for this hotel (~$105/nite) vs our usual downtown hotel (~$170/nite), plus parking at the Wyndham is FREE (valet parking downtown ~$20 per nite, plus tip). The location is convenient (just a few turns off I-95) and about 15-20 minutes from VCU. Richmond has no traffic (at least compared with NoVa/DC) so if you plan for the 15-20 minute drive to downtown, the savings are worth it, especially if it is on your dime.

Our rooms were clean and relatively updated (hard and soft case goods were decent, about a B+) (I think we were in the Monroe Building) and given the price point I was very satisified. The rooms are located in 3 buildings and there is an underground walkway connecting all 3 buildings in case you are staying when the weather is not so great. The hotel grounds are beautiful (beats downtown for sure).

We did not use any of the services or the restaurant/bar, but we did use the fitness facility and found it very adequate. Our parking lot was overflowing by night-time, but people just parked along the grass without any issues from the hotel. No biggie. Would definitely stay here again

What a great review. Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts about Wyndham Virginia Crossings. As you so aptly point out, one of the great things about our hotel is that we are a just a short drive from downtown Richmond and yet provide a distinctly different (we think better) experience in terms of product, service and value ("Better rate and Wyndham has FREE parking ~ downtown $20+ per night"). 20 acres of manicured grounds, historical architecture and modern guest amenities, great food (including our new Tavern Restaurant) and an outstanding location with easy access to all major area Interstates. On the issue of parking, we currently have some construction taking up a few spaces and that should be restored shortly. The next time you visit we hope you have time to explore the property a bit and take advantage of our pool and restaurants. Until then, thanks again and safe travels.

I recently stayed here on business with about 150 colleagues. The hotel feels very "Virginian'' with three colonial buildings around a central quad. One of the three buildings was dedicated to hotel rooms and suites while the other two are dedicated to conference services and hotel amenities.

The hotel roo. were of standard size, clean, and quiet. The only complaint I have is that they do not come with a small fridge. Wireless internet worked fine and cable was easy to navigate.

The pool water was still chilly but kids found a way to swim anyway. There is a golf course that looked well-maintained but I did not play.

The conferencerooms were spread among the other two buildings and offer an array of sizes. The largest room can sat our entire audience with room to spare. Smaller rooms accommodated u shaped tables of 12.

Breakfast and lunch were served buffet style with an omelet station and ice cream station respectively. The food was good but a little heavy on starches.

Jamie, the bartender in the Tavern, took excellent care of us. She has a wonderful recipe consisting of Bombay gin, lemonade, basil, and some secrets served in an up glass. Our group tended to descend upon her at the tavern each night and she could have used an extra hand to keep up with the demand. The bar is supposed to close at 11:00 yet she was kind enough to let us linger a bit longer each night.

There is no spa service onsite; however, there is a mobile spa service that will come to your room for massages, manicures and pedicures. They were prompt and took excellent care of my wife. I would recommend calling a couple of days ahead if possible as they book up quickly and service several other locations.

I gave lower ratings on location and value because I do not know the Richmond area well enough to comment on either.

I had a very good experience at this hotel and would recommend it.

Thank you for taking time to provide us feedback from your recent stay at Wyndham Virginia Crossings. As one of the country's top conference centers we really do focus on providing excellent service and product. One of the highest rated areas is our food service that, as you know, provides an abundance of choices in a buffet style presentation. If you ever return to us again, please let us know about any food issues and we will customize something for you. Again, we appreciate your business and safe travels.
