The hotel was lovely. Everyone was very kind. My only complaint was that my bill was charged to my own MC and not the company's American Express, as requested. I called the desk twice to verify that it would be charged to Bob Newman's Amer.Exp. I even had Bob call the front desk to make sure it was billed to his.

I loved this hotel. It offers a number of amenities that are fun for everyone of all ages such as Jacuzzi, outdoor swimming pools, pool table, sand volleyball, bar and restaurant. The area is gorgeous and right off of 95-South-- you feel away without the hassle of being in the middle of nowhere. Also, it is only a short drive to Short Pump, and other surrounding areas to go shopping, find top quality restaurants and entertainment. Although everything looks great, I think the hotel needs to upgrade their beds. The hotel really captures the history of the colonial feel that Virginia is known for, but that doesn't mean the beds have to feel colonial. Other than that, I would definitely come back again.

Your recent review really captured our hotel! Thank you. The only shortcoming mentioned was our beds and, on that score, I have good news to share. Even though most of our guests love our spacious accommodations, we are just beginning a complete renovation of all our 183 guest rooms. Hopefully, you will return to see our progress. In the meantime, safe travels.

When we first arrived we were very pleased with our room and the facilities. The only complaint was a very squishy mattress, but it was still worlds better than a Howard Johnson or a Motel 6.

However, we decided to get room service- we ordered an "Artisan Cheese Board and Baguette" and a Caesar Salad, which ended up being almost $30 with all the fees tacked on.

After 30 minutes it arrived. What does the Wyndham consider an Artisan Cheese Board and Baguette? SLICED UP KRAFT AMERICAN SINGLES AND TWO CRUSTY PIECES OF BREAD. I am not joking. I have never been so angry about food service in my life. They completely misrepresented their products and overcharged me for the kind of crap you would only pay $0.10 at the worst fast food restaurant.

They also wanted to charge $10 to use the internet and $16 for a movie rental.

The breakfast buffet the next morning was about $30 for the two of us and it was no better than the free buffet spread at any 2 star hotel. The breakfast food was nasty, old, and way overpriced.

I don't mind a hotel that charges more for these services, BUT I expect them to actually deliver on their promises!

This is one of the nicest conference centers I have been to. Although it is relatively new construction, the entire property has the feel of something hundreds of years old. The meeting rooms have incredible woodworking details, and all have excellent set up and furnishings. The rooms are equally as nice, being good sized and well sound proofed. Given the rolling open terrain surrounding the property it is hard to believe you are this close to the city.
We had three meals served, and all were first class. I highly recommend this property for a business function, wedding or any other large gathering, and it is worth a stop-over if you are an individual traveler looking for something different. Definitely a neat place.

Thank you for a great review. There are a lot of wonderful, high rise hotels in our area but there is only one Wyndham Virginia Crossings. It is, indeed, as you say ... "unexpected". I, too, love the fact that we are a very modern facility with world class technology but our appearance bespeaks another era. It's the best of both worlds especially for those looking for a unique, Virginia experience. Thanks, too, for mentioning our great food. Chef Ivan Coleman and his team do a great job and I'll be certain he sees your comments. Thanks again for spending time with us and we hope that you return to Virginia Crossings again soon. Safe travels.

Thank you for your wonderful review. Wyndham Virginia Crossings is one of Virginia's most highly rated Wedding Venues. 20 beautifully landscaped acres. Impressive colonial architecture. Great restaurants, guest rooms and resort-like amenities. But the best things we offer are people like those mentioned in your review. It's especially important when executing events like weddings. People really make the difference and our staff are some of the best. From Terilynne Peterson to Sam Gergis to Chef Ivan Coleman to Hanna Mauck to Chris Moore and his Guest Services team, we're happy we delivered an exceptional event. Thank you again and safe travels.
