“Amazingly tasty little authentic Mexican mini tacos!”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

The chicken, shrimp and carnitas small tacos were so flavorful they dont need lots of toppings. However if you want some toppings they are plentiful at the self-serve bar. Variety of unique fresh daily made salsas and lettuce based toppings, even the refried beans are homeade. Extremely inexpensive for such fresh tasty little tacos. They even have beer and wine thats equally inexpensive. Great discovery in Forest and friendly staff the flour tortillas are devine!

“Great food but a few minor issues”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

The prices and the food are amazing. The best part is by far the toppings bar which offers everything from various salsas to onions to cheese to many other things that you can put on your order. It is a great unknown restaurant in the Lynchburg area but there are some things that keep me from giving it 5 stars. The first thing would be that the menu doesn't offer much of a selection but what they have is good. Secondly, chips and salsa are not free but $2.50. This would have been okay but they were no better than any other Mexican restaurant and are offered free everywhere else. Lastly, the sweet tea was not sweet at all. Even after trying to stir in a few packets of sugar, it didn't help. Other than that, it was well worth eating there as a regular stop. I recommend just getting a few cheap tacos for $1.25 - $1.75 each. With all you can put on it at the toppings bar, you will leave spending only 3-5 dollars and having a big and delicious meal.

“Better than other places”
Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

Worth a visit! I've had the Talapia tacos and carnitas gorditas both were excellent. Very informal, laid back and inexpensive with high quality, authentic (beef tongue on menu), tasty food. Much better than what you find at some other local Mexican restaurants.

“Absolutely the best Mexican in the Lburg area!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

There is no doubt that this is the best Mexican food in the Lynchburg area. By far. Very far.

Pick your own toppings for tacos with corn or flour tortillas. Great carnitas, fantastic al pastor.

Cheap prices and friendly service too! Forget the doughy tortillas stuffed with Velveeta that you'll find at La Ca. Taqueria is the real deal.
