We spent a night here this summer, driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and we really loved it, if we could we would spent a whole week.
The place is so lovely and peaceful, the house is friendly and well cared.
Janet and George are very kind, they make you feel like home.
So I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to spend time out of rush and surrounded by nature.

My husband and I were cycling the Blue Ridge Parkway and decided that Stoney Meadow Inn would be a good stop distance for our first half-day of biking. We found the Inn to be one of our most excellent choices among all of the places we stayed along the way. It is truly a 'hidden gem'. The innkeepers are friendly and service-oriented. Knowing that we were cycling in, we were treated to a thoughtfull light refreshment upon arrival, which included a special treat of homemade chocolate cake. The jacuzzi tub was a real godsend after a long day of traveling, and the accommodations could not have been cleaner, quieter or more comfortable. All modern conveniences in a tasteful country setting. The breakfast was unrivaled on our trip (we stayed at a series of B&B's and hotels for our vacation). We are world-travelers, and wholeheartedly recommend this location.

My wife and I went for 2 nights for our anniversary and had a beautiful time, Janet is a great cook and had breakfast for us each morning so we had full stomachs before going out to pet the goats, horses, and of course Griz the dog. I still miss Griz, she was so sweet.

Accommodations were much nicer than I could have expected, or needed, the master suite was wonderful. We saw several deer walking by while out on the screen porch.

Floyd is obviously a great place to visit for the music, antique shops, and the winery's off the Parkway.

My mother & I loved our 2-night stay with hostess/owner Janet. It was just the 3 of us women, and we sat together, ate home-baked treats & talked most of the evening. When it was time to retire, we certainly enjoyed the comforts of home in the twin suite with beautiful decor and quilts. Comfy! accomodaton for 2 women traveling together such as mother/daughter or 2 girlfriends who love B&Bs like this homeplace!

The next day we took a scenic drive to nearby Floyd, where we toured the shops & ate lunch. I especially appreciated the fact that in addition to teaching, Janet is a realty agent with the knowledge of the area to assist in locating potential property. The area is beautiful & restful.

We definitely didn't want to leave on Wednesday and will return in October. Janet is very personable & accomodating, so be sure to book 3 nights or more and you'll be glad you did! You'll feel you've gained a good friend in Floyd County!

My wife and I enjoyed our recent visit to Stoney Meadow Inn. We had spent a week in D.C. and found this to be a very relaxing way to end our trip. Stoney Meadow is just a couple minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway and only a fifteen minute drive to the town of Floyd.

Janet had a delicious cake and refreshments waiting for us upon our early arrival. She couldn't have been more helpful. She let us help ourselves to the refrigerator which was stocked with sodas, tea, etc... We also were treated to a delicious traditional breakfast. You certainly will not go hungry when you visit Stoney Meadow.

We stayed in the master suite which was like being in our own house. It was huge. I especially enjoyed our private screened in porch that looked out to the woods and the hummingbirds flying around. The property is beautiful. We took a couple peaceful walks up the gravel drive and through the woods. We had fun petting the goats and friendly dog. We were then off to the Friday night jamboree at the Country Store which was a blast. If you're heading to Floyd and looking for a great place off the beaten path, Stoney Meadow is for you.

We appreciate the positive comments from the delightful couple from Cincinnati. They liked the farm setting and relaxed atmosphere. It was a pleasure to have them visit. We hope they can return in the future.
