“Pizza, Beer and Music”
Reviewed May 2, 2012

I wanted a place for a quick bite to eat and a beer near the Hotel Floyd and this was a good choice. The pizza was good (not great, but above average) and it was reasonably priced. The draft beer selection was the highlight for me, as they had several good choices of microbrews. They also have a nice patio that was convenient and they had live music that night, so I enjoyed my visit. The only negative would be the limited menu options for food, but it is worth stopping by for at least an excellent beer.

“LOVE eating here.”
Reviewed April 15, 2012

Every time we are in Floyd we make sure we stop by the Dogtown for a white pizza and a kitchen sink pizza. Love the draft selection and the brick oven styling. Hope to catch a band here next time we are in town.

“A pie to remember”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

John and Scott are truly on a mission to make the best pie ever. A testament to the quality of the pizza is their humble beginnings with a oven on the back of a flat bed truck. With the restaurant now going full tilt for two years (two winters in Floyd) looks like we will be able to enjoy the excellent pizza for years to come. Cold fermented dough, hand tossed and topped with the freshest of ingredients will delight even the toughest of critics. It did Peter Reinhart for a fact!
Also a great selection of beers to wash the pie down!

“Interesting pizza selection and some good local brews”
Reviewed February 6, 2012

There are a few tables in Dogtown Roadhouse where you can sit, relax, and have some pretty good pizza and local beer. Their menu is not large at all (fairly small actually) but what they do have, they do right. We ordered their sausage and fennel pizza (without the onions) and added pepperoni. It was really good. The server was very nice and attentive. We were there early in the night before the music and the cover charge began. We did not stay for the nightly act but could hear the music pouring forth later on that evening as we walked around the town. Definitely a neat place to grab a bite.

“Don't do Floyd Country Store without eating here first!”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

Really! This is not your average pizza joint. Menu is brief, but imaginative. Pizza is done in a wood-fired oven and is very good. Have to say I ate more than I should have! Good selection of beers, etc. Good service, even when busy (like on Friday night before the music starts next door). Funky atmosphere.
