This is supposed to be an Italian place and the food is actually pretty good, but if you are an Italian restaurant and you have pepper shakers and "romano" in a shaker jar can you really be Italian?
Both times we have eaten here we have had to beg for the pepper grinder. You cannot keep it at your table since they only have one so, want pepper on your salad and later on your pasta....you have to ask twice.....As for the Parmigiano, I asked our waitress about that and the shaker jar. She assured me that the 'stuff' in the jar was Romano cause they fill them up every day...
Hey why not live on the wild side, invest in some pepper grinders at the table or for each wait staff and have some parmigiano that can be ground fresh on the pasta or pizza.
As I said at the beginning the food is actually pretty good...I had pasta this time with mushrooms and my wife liked the pizza. As for ambiance not much of that since they try to stuff a table in every little space...including in front of half of a double door where we sat!

Spent a weekend at Meadow of Dan and while visiting the winery Ch. Morrisette they recommended we NOT miss the food at Mickey G's.(Best Italian)...and so right they were.

Beautiful day, sat outside and even though the view is of a parking lot, the food is so good you do not notice; actually it's fun to see all the locals coming and going.

We had just returned from Europe and thought the food at Mickeys was just as good, if NOT better than some, and beautifully prepared; the waitress recommended the best meals - and there was quite a large selection for a rather small cafe.

The salads were huge and oh so good (share them); the pasta superb, the home made focaccia served with an herb infused olive oil - amazing- and a surprise slice of cake for my brother's birthday - terrific! Thanks Mickeys for a wonderful day!

We were very pleasantly surprised and wish we had Mickeys closer to home!
Don't miss if if you are near Floyd Virginia!

We had lunch here on an extemely wet day during our recent US trip and it was warm and welcoming inside. We both had pizza which was really delicious. I wanted a root beer but they didn't have one but suggested a birch beer which was even better.

Really enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the cool weather. The service was excellent and the covered pizza pie was out of this world. 2 of us could not finish the small one and got to enjoy the leftovers! Highly recommend this place for couples and families. The offer a varied menu where everyone can find something they like.

We're lucky to have such a good Italian restaurant in the small town of Floyd, Virginia. Nearly everything we've had there has been good. Don't care too much for their bread ... just my taste. Cheese calzones, eggplant Parmesan are excellent.
