Description: Chateau Morrisette offers fine dining in a casual setting. Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, Chateau Morrisette sits at 3500 feet with spectacular views of the valley below. Chef Cooper Brunk creates authentic Appalachian-French fusion cuisine designed to pair with the wide assortment of wines produced in our cellar. Guest favorites include Our Dog Blue paired with Bacon-wrapped Shrimp with Grits, herb crusted sirloin with Petit Verdot, lamb paired with Chambourcin, and our Chateau Filet paired with Merlot. Vegetarians enjoy a variety of dishes as well. With two estate gardens, Chateau Morrisette provides seasonal offerings to insure quality and freshness. Guest may dine by the fire in the colder months or outside on our terrace in the warmer months. And of course, a visit to Chateau Morrisette is not complete without a stop in our Tasting Room for a sampling of our wines and a little shopping for unique gifts and accessories.

The ultimate culinary experience with creative entrees like Duck Egg Rolls. The Duck Egg Rolls are filled with collards, carrots, smoked duck and served with a blackberry sauce. Reservations are suggested, but we had no problem getting a table. The view from our table was breathtaking.

We took my mom to Chateau Morrisette for a Mother's Day brunch recently. It's one of her favorite places to dine. The atmosphere is relaxed. The brunch offered breakfast a s lunch specialties which suites my family. There was so much food that everyone we heard commented on how full they were and how there was too much to resist. The service is always fantastic. My family has gone to Chateau Morrisette since it opened and love this special venue.

Went to their buffet brunch (expensive but delicious!) on a fairly busy Sunday afternoon and they were able to seat us without reservations (although it took a ton of hemming and hawing and "maybe we don't have any more plates" and, "we may be out of food" (as more was being carried to the buffet.) There were far more empty tables than occupied. As we told friends of our experience, everyone (to a person) said they had had nearly the exact same interaction with the hostess when they visited. Weird. If you don't want people to eat at your restaurant, don't have a restaurant. On the bright side, the food is delicious, and the view is spectacular. Make reservations, and don't be put off by the strange hostess--she apparently treats everyone that way. Our server was really friendly.

I have shared your comments with our Restaurant Manager and we will be doing additional training with all of our hosting staff. Our goal is to have every guest feel welcome from the minute they walk in the door. Sorry you had this experience and we will try to do better next time. Glad you liked the food. Thanks for taking the time to review us.

We had a very nice lunch here. Service was excellent. Food was good. Both our entrees were delicious. I would return if in the area.

We have been to the winery each year for the last three years, but have never made time to visit the restaurant.....until this weekend.

We were concerned that we might be a little underdresses (jeans), but there were a mix of attires around thankfully. We sat in the bar area overlooking the mountains and loved it.

We were familiar with the wines, but we really impressed with the food. I had grilled fillet and Pimento Cheese Risotto - fabulous! My partner had the lamb lollipops and he thought they were outstanding.

It is somewhat stunning to find such wonderful food in what feels like the 'middle of know where" (no offense!) The drive is absolutely worth it and the views are outstanding.

We will return again and again!
