Description: Chateau Morrisette offers fine dining in a casual setting. Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, Chateau Morrisette sits at 3500 feet with spectacular views of the valley below. Chef Cooper Brunk creates authentic Appalachian-French fusion cuisine designed to pair with the wide assortment of wines produced in our cellar. Guest favorites include Our Dog Blue paired with Bacon-wrapped Shrimp with Grits, herb crusted sirloin with Petit Verdot, lamb paired with Chambourcin, and our Chateau Filet paired with Merlot. Vegetarians enjoy a variety of dishes as well. With two estate gardens, Chateau Morrisette provides seasonal offerings to insure quality and freshness. Guest may dine by the fire in the colder months or outside on our terrace in the warmer months. And of course, a visit to Chateau Morrisette is not complete without a stop in our Tasting Room for a sampling of our wines and a little shopping for unique gifts and accessories.

“Just OK, very busy”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Their wine is ok - the tasting room is all about making a purchase. We stopped by and asked if we needed to purchase a tasting and were directed to a cash register where we waited in line for about 15 minutes only to find out that we could have bought the tasting at the bar.

We waited at the bar for 10 minutes or so before the pourer finally decided no one else was going to show up.

Will not go back.

“We loved it so much we went back again”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

We stayed in the area only a few days, but we loved this restaurant so much we went back twice. The Chocolate flourless desert is the best we have ever had, and we have sampled these type of deserts in many locations due to my wife's gluten allergy. We ate both an evening meal, and a Sunday brunch at the restaurant. The quality of the food was outstanding. If we lived in the area we w would be here for every special occasion, I think. Absolutely the best high quality restaurant in the area.

“Blue ridge road trip”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Stumbled on to this jewel while wandering the Blue Ridge. Wine tasting and a short tour directed by some very personable and friendly people was very enjoyable. Left with a case of our favorites, though we aren't really wine drinkers!

“brunch munch”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

We like this place and have been several times before. This time we went for the brunch. The food was good, varied, and plentiful, but for the price, we expected a better quality. Still, we ate our fill and we went away happy. Still, our Saturday visits have been tastier.

“Nice wine tasting at Chateau Morrisette”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Had a nice wine tasting at Chateau Morrisette. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with the person pouring the tasting. She seemed genuinely interested in helping us find the wine that meet what we liked.
